On February 24, 2020, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian visited the Betong District Labour Center. Officials under the Ministry of Labour in Yala also attended the event to hear the performance report of the President of Labour Graduates. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General emphasized the integration of Betong District and Betong District Labour Center, in providing knowledge about labour and guidelines on the preparation of labour information to support the development of Betong, especially about informal labour and providing convenience to employees and employers.
From there, he visited the area to observe the occupational alleviation project and urgent employment activities at Rayom, Betong, Yala. The village headman, district leaders, community leaders and the SBPAC staff welcomed the visiting committee. On February 25, 2020, at 9:00 am, he visited the Social Security Office in the Betong District Labour Center and observe the occupational alleviation project, and skill development activities for the weaving of plastic baskets at Than Namthip, Betong, Yala. Than Nam Thip Subdistrict Administration Officer, trainers and labour graduates gave a welcoming. The visiting committee provided food for the trainees. At 15.00 hours, the committee followed up on the performance of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour in Yala, according to the inspection plan of the Office of the Permanent Secretary for 2020. The occasion took place at the meeting room of the Yala Provincial Labour Office, 1st floor, whereby SBPAC officers also attended the meeting. After that, the Ministry of Labour visited agencies under the Ministry of Labour and gave words of encouragement to officers working in the southern border provinces.
