On March 2, 2020, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister M.R. Chatu Mongol Sonakul commenced the “National Day of Skilled Workers” for 2020. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and the Ministry of Labour’s executives and staff also joined the event at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram Conference Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. The event was organized for Thai workers and skilled artisans, including the general public, to realize the value of workers and artisans. The event included a ceremony to pay respect to the royal patronage to the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Father of Thai Craftsmanship. Departments under the Ministry of Labour and other agencies nationwide commemorated the wisdom and benevolence of the late King, who saw the value and importance of craftsmanship in the distant future.
From there, the Labour Minister and the ministry’s executive committee visited the exhibition to honour the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
