The Ministry of Labour co-organized volunteer activities for “Mother’s Day, August 12, 2020, Love the Children” on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s royal birthday on August 12, 2020. The event hosted a professional training booth and exhibitions under the concept of “Creating careers and income for the Thai people to have jobs; introducing the royal wishes from the Mother of the Land” at Sanam Luang.
On August 12, 2020, at 09.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, along with the Ministry of Labour’s senior executives, visited the exhibition and public service activities of agencies under the Ministry of Labour, on the occasion of HM Queen Sirikit’s royal birthday at Sanam Luang (the Supreme Court side). The activities aim to promote women and the elderly to have a career, income, and good quality of life, together with good health, in response to the royal initiative and present on the birthday of HM Queen Sirikit.
In honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s royal birthday on August 12, 2020, the Ministry of Labour organized activities under the concept of “Creating careers and income for the Thai people to have jobs; introducing the royal wishes from the Mother of the Land”. The activities aim to honour and commemorate the grace of HM Queen Sirikit and to help alleviate the suffering of the people, especially children, women, the elderly, and the vulnerable groups, who are unable to access the aid provided by the government agencies from the Covid-19 situation. The activities allow such groups to access labour services, have a profession and income, and a good quality of life, as well as building good relations between the Ministry of Labour, the people and civil society networks. It creates cooperation in the work of the Ministry of Labour in response to government policies and in line with the needs of the people.
This activity is one in honor of HM Queen Sirikit, in which. Office of the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister scheduled to be held between August 12 – 14, 2020, at Sanam Luang. Inside the booth of the Ministry of Labour included the Covid-19 Resistant Model Farm Project Phase 1, recruitment services through Job Box, demonstrations and vocational training such as making jasmine baskets, garland stringing with jasmine, making a bag of Krajood decorated with ribbons, making glass holders, colorful ribbons, painting, making decoupage and Japanese dolls from mulberry paper for example. There was also a labour counseling provided by “labour lawyers” and applications for insured persons under Section 40 as well.
