MOL Promotes Health for Insured Persons within Organizations in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Towards the New Normal

                The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour launched the proactive health and disease prevention in the workplace program to large industrial estates, called the “Healthy Thailand for insured persons in the new way of life”.

                On July 23, 2020, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat presided over the opening ceremony of the project to promote proactive health and disease prevention in the workplace to large industrial estates, under the program called “Healthy Thailand for insured persons in the new way of life”. The Social Security Office’s Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud gave a report at Mektech Manufacturing Corporation (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in Ayutthaya. The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour said that having good health, both physically and mentally, is important and necessary for every human being. It can be seen that people are paying more attention to caring for their physical health, including nutrition, exercise, temperament, and sufficient rest, which are all important to improving the quality of human life.

                Mrs. Theanrat said that the Ministry of Labour’s mission is to look after the quality of life of over 38.5 million workers, comprising informal and informal workers, of which 16.29 million are insured in the social security system. This is considered as a matter that the Ministry of Labour attaches great importance to, therefore, employers, employees, and all parties concerned that attach importance to health activities within the workplace is beneficial to the workforce, employers, and organizations themselves. In addition to workers encompassing good physical health and quality of life, it also saves on the cost of medical care and can promote better performance and ultimately promote organizational growth. This is especially important as we are currently facing the Covid-19 crisis, where people have to adjust to a new normal way of life, including the adjustment of the environment and creating a safe workplace.

                In addition, the event had health checks for the insured, exhibitions on medical professional training, rehabilitation, work safety exhibitions, and organization of activities by agencies under the Ministry of Labour.
