On August 10, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchat Chomklin received consumer goods such as drinking water, rice, canned fish, instant noodles, and tissue paper from Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Co., Ltd., valued at 74,984 Baht. The goods were donated through the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare (DLPW 9) for the Ministry of Labour to support workers and those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. The Ministry of Labour’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics) Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, and Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol joined the occasion, whereby the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Mrs. Sopa Kieatnircha, delivered the goods. The occasion took place at the foyer on the ground flood, Ministry of Labour.
The Labour Minister also thanked the private sector, such as Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Co., Ltd., for their willingness to help the people in difficult times. Their effort aligned with the intentions of the Prime Minister and government policies of not leaving anyone behind.
