On March 23, 2021, at 14.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol presided over the opening ceremony of a training project for temporary employees at overseas Labour Offices for 2021, organized as in a teleconference format.
Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol spoke about the Ministry of Labour’s foreign policy, especially measures to promote Thai workers to work abroad by maintaining the same job market in foreign countries, promoting short-term employment, and expanding to new overseas labour markets. He spoke about the application of technology to serve people through E-Service systems and creating proactive awareness. Therefore, working adaptation is an essential part of continuous development. He asked all staff to be aware of the users’ views, whether they are employers, workers, or government agencies, and that there is a need for the overseas Labour Offices to help with transparency and honesty, and skill development for specific expertise. It will be a factor that promotes the work’s success and resolves problems and obstacles well, ready to accept changes in every dimension. The efforts will continue to benefit themselves, the organization, and society.
Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol commended and gave words of encouragement to the staff who work together to help and care for Thai workers in foreign countries, especially during the Covid-19 crisis. He provided operational guidelines for staff operating abroad, to have an understanding of the roles and missions, the Ministry of Labour’s policy guidelines for Labour Offices overseas, including their duties, responsibilities, discipline, and competencies that are important to successful performance achievement at all levels, both for their own office and for the Ministry of Labour as a whole. The meeting took place at the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s meeting room, 7th floor, Ministry of Labour.
