                    On 1-7 December 2010, Office of Labour Affairs in Riyadh, represented by Mr. Chaiyot Yuusab, Minister Counsellor( Labour) and CPO1 Bancha Chuenchom, Labour Counsellor gave a warm welcome to Vice Minsiter of Labour (Mr. Yuph Nana) and the group on the occasion of their official visit in UAE. and Qatar. This visit aims to promote employment for Thai  labour. On 1-3 December 2010, they paid a visit to H.E. Pasan Teparak, Consul-General of Thailand in Dubai to discuss on official issues. Later on during 4-7 December, they went to Qatar and paid a visit to H.E. Suwat Jirapan, Ambassador in Doha and then met with executives of 3 companies namely Power Line Engineering Qatar, a construction company undertaking the residential project “The Pearl” of Qatar”, China State Construction, the state-owned enterprise Engineering construction company operating its business in constructing CSEC High Rise Office Building and Takennaka JC – CDC Company, a Japanese construction firm constructing the International Airport of Doha. Those companies currently employ 1,000, 100 and 500 Thai workers respectively. As a result of the discussion and being a host of FIFA World Cup in 2565, Qatar shall prepare to build a new stadium and residency for athletes, relevant people and cheering team from different countries. This is therefore a good opportunity for Thai labours to increasingly expand the labour market in overseas.
