          Office of Labour Affairs in Singapore arranged the 7th batch of labour volunteer training program on 13 February 2011 a Royal Thai Embassy of Singapore.
           Office of Labour Affairs in Singapore arranged labour volunteer training program with an aim to develop labour network in the areas of Singapore and to be conform with the regulations of MOL governing labour volunteer B.E. 2548. In this regard, Office of Labour Affairs has annually arranged labour volunteer training program in which it was held for 6 batches with 192 labour volunteers participated in. The labour volunteer training program aims to enable labour volunteer to access services of Royal Thai Embassy of Singapore, Office of Labour Affairs in Singapore and other agencies through labour volunteer network and to enhance their knowledge and understanding in order to be able to recommend and solve Thai workers’ problem and to communicate and publicize useful information to Thai labours thoroughly as well as to do activity for the sake of common society together.
           There were 94 Thai workers and Thais in Singapore informed their intention to register in the training program, with 74 of them participated and 1 was not qualified (age under 20 years old) so that there were 73 participants in total passing the training program and receiving certificate. H.E. Mr. Monchai Patchanee, Minister, gave an opening address of the labour volunteer training program and asked Thai society in overseas to build a network to help each other and strengthen Thai society.
Consul Affairs  of Royal Thai Embassy also expressed its missions and services such as issue/renew the passport and Visa, legal acts, other assistances and protection providing to Thai people and overseas election arrangement.
 

            Mrs. Kanchana Wongsuwan, Minister Consellor (labour), summarized missions of Office of Labour Affairs in Singapore, obligations and duties of laboour volunteers, labour protection and welfares-related works such as receiving a complaint concerning employment problems, providing assistance to labours having problems and troubles, monitoring benefits such as outstanding wage,
           Assistant Professor, Pattana Kittiarsa summarized the background of Thai labour fellowship in Singapore Association, the structure of the administrators and other recently significant activities as well as 2011 work plan.
            Mr.Noppadol Khunwiboon, Minister of Singapore, inaugurated the closing ceremony and granting certificate to all participants passing the program. After that, he also sermonized and expressed his appreciation to all participants in their contribution to the country in terms of generating money to the country, their labour skills, hardworking and orderliness.
