Permanent Secretary of Labour Discusses Progress of Thailand-Cambodia Bilateral Cooperation Framework with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Before Signing Two Labour Cooperation Agreements

On April 23, 2025, at 08.30 hours, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, Permanent Secretary of Labour,  held a meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss the progress of labour-related operations under the framework of bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia. This was in preparation for the plenary meeting between Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The meeting also included a rehearsal of the procedures for the signing of two labour-related outcome documents:

  1. Memorandum of Understanding on Labour Cooperation between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia, and
  2. Agreement on Employment between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Both documents will be signed by Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour and H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training of the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia (Peace Palace) during the official visit of Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, to the Kingdom of Cambodia from April 23–24, 2025.
