Today (March 15, 2021) at 09.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Pattaraporn Samantarat, welcomed Director of the International Labour Office for Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos Mr. Graeme Buckley, along with experts and staff of the Academic Cooperation Program, to attend a meeting to discuss the technical cooperation project of the International Labour Organization. The meeting took place at the Mitmaitree meeting room 2, 5th floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour.
The meeting discussed two new projects: 1) Rebuilding Better: Fostering Business Resilience Post-Covid-19. The project aims to help female entrepreneurs affected by Covid-19 and will continue for one and a half years (January 2021 – June 2022). 2) Young Future makers Thailand – Promoting Youth Employment, which aims to promote youths’ employment (15-24 years old) by targeting young women and youths with disabilities. The project has a period of 15 months (February 2021 – April 2022).
In addition, the meeting discussed progress on the implementation of the TRIANGLE in ASEAN project, which aims to promote the protection of migrant workers in ASEAN. The project has a period of 12 years (2015 – 2025).
