On February 27, 2020, at 10.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol presided over the press conference of the “Safety Thailand Run 2020”, a walk-run charity project to carry on according to the aspiration: to develop safety for workers in the workplace and provide holistic health, in competition for Royal Cup by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. President of the Federation of Thai Employers Dr. Nawarat Songsawatchai, President of the Safety and Health at Work Promotion Association Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermchai Chaikittiphon and Chairperson of the Safety and Health at Work Promotion Association. The meeting took place on the 1st floor, Ministry of Labour building, which requested approval to improve the order of the Skill Development Promotion Committee.
The above activity was organized to promote the awareness of employers, employees, and the general public to be aware of safety, occupational health, and the working environment, including the importance of exercise for health, which will result in better employees and public health. It is also a campaign for relevant parties to participate in creating safety and taking preventative actions to reduce occupational hazards and promote good health. The said activity will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2020, from 05.30 – 09.00 hours at Phutthamonthon, Park Nakhon Pathom. The run is divided into 2 phases, namely running for 5 kilometers for health, whereby the application fee is 600 Baht and running a mini-marathon for 10 kilometers, whereby the application fee is 800 Baht. The general category of winners, for a distance of 10 kilometers for both men and women, will receive the Royal Cup from Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
