June 20, 2025, 14.00 hours – Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, Permanent Secretary of Labour, presided over the opening ceremony of the Labour Graduate Service Efficiency Enhancement Project in Surat Thani Province for the fiscal year 2025. The project included the activities of United Labour Graduates, Volunteers for Community Development, and Uphold the Monarchy. The event was held at Wat Pa Tha Thai, Khlong Pha Subdistrict, Tha Chana District, Surat Thani Province, with opening remarks delivered by Mrs. Rattana Thawon, Surat Thani Provincial Labour Officer.
Mr. Boonsong stated that the Ministry of Labour plays a key role in promoting employment, equipping citizens with occupational knowledge, enhancing labour skills, and ensuring that the workforce, both formal and informal, is protected and entitled to the benefits under the law. This is in line with the Ministry’s Fiscal Year 2025 policy, “Outstanding Social Security, Focus on Modern Skills, Employment for Thais, Safety Culture, Economic and Labour Stability.” He said that today marks a valuable occasion where agencies under the Ministry of Labour have organized the Labour Graduates Unite activity to engage with local communities and labour networks through public benefit development initiatives. This represents a proactive, integrated outreach effort that brings together the missions of relevant agencies to provide services directly to the people, such as motorcycle engine oil changes, small electrical appliance repair, and Ministry of Labour agency exhibitions.
“I sincerely hope that the public receiving services from the Ministry of Labour and related agencies are satisfied with the quality of service. Lastly, I would like to thank all participating labour agencies, Chaiya Vocational College, local leaders, and all contributors for their support in making today’s activities a success and achieving their intended purpose,” Mr. Boonsong concluded.
This Labour Graduates Unite, Volunteer for Community Development, Uphold the Monarchy activity was organized to advance the Ministry of Labour’s mission directly to the public, achieving the goals of government and ministry policy under the vision: “A skilled workforce, with employment and strong social protection.” It supports the implementation of the Ministry of Labour’s strategy to improve the quality of life for the people based on local potential. It also encourages labour graduates to engage with local communities. A total of 70 participants attended the event, including ministry department heads, relevant officers, labour graduates, labour volunteers, community leaders, and residents.
Following the event, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, Permanent Secretary of Labour, presented an official vehicle and office equipment from the Surat Thani Provincial Labour Office to Wat Pa Tha Thai. He visited exhibition booths of affiliated labour agencies and partner networks, participated in community service activities to develop the temple grounds, and met with labour graduates and volunteers from the area and neighboring communities to listen to their concerns and provide operational guidance.
