Section 39 Insured Persons in 13 Red Categorized Provinces Receive Remedy Payments on August 23

Content Description

On August 23, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported the progress on transferring remedies to help insured persons affected by the announcement of “curfews” and “lockdowns.” He said that today (August 23, 2021), remedies would be transferred via PromptPay accounts linked to ID card numbers to Section 39 insured persons at 5,000 Baht each. The remedies will be paid to 1,123,746 people, amounting to over 5.6 billion Baht. The effort aims to alleviate the suffering and reduce living and daily expenses among insured workers.
Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin added that he was concerned about workers in the areas who have received remedies. He has instructed the Social Security Office (SSO) to accelerate the remedies transfer, but some insured persons have not received the remedies due to unsuccessful money transfers. The main reason was mostly that accounts had not been linked to PromptPay and an ID number. Therefore, he asked that insured persons under Section 33, 39, and 40, eligible in the 29 provinces, including those missing from the past transfer cycle, check their accounts. If it shows that the money has not yet been credited to the account, hurry and contact the bank immediately. He asked those who have not yet linked their PromptPay with an ID number to do so or change from their mobile phone number to their ID number to receive the payment of remedies. The Social Security Office (SSO) has opened up to employers and insured persons under Sections 33, 39, and 40 to check the information at www.sso.go.th. People with questions can contact the Ministry of Labour’s 1506 hotline available 24 hours a day,”
