               On 25 February, 2012 the Officials from the Labour Office of the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv went to visit Thai workers at the Genesis Seeds Company in Communal Settlement: Ashalim located at the South of Israel in Negev Desert, City of Be’er Sheva.


                The Genesis Seeds Company is the organic seeds farming of flowers, herbs, and vegetables, for example, the flower seeds: Ammi Snow White, Asclepias, Sunflower, and Larkspur Galilee Carmin, the vegetable seeds:  Broccoli Calibrese, Lettuce, Cucumber, Artichoke, Melon, Radish and herb seeds: Pasley, Zaatar, and Chives Garlic. In addition, the company employs 7 Thai workers and provides one sharing bedroom for 4 workers with 2 bathrooms, and 1 washing machine. Normally, these workers start working from 06.00 am to 17.00 pm and have monthly incomes of approximately 4,000 Shekels. Also, the employer sends the money home for the workers around 3,500-3,700 Shekels and issues the salary receipts for workers every month. In order to live their lives, the workers have exchanged vegetable for the chicken.  Before leaving, the officials had provided sport equipment and the national flags for the workers as moral support.
