Deputy Labour Minister Sends Team to Deliver Food Boxes to Encourage Medical Personnel Fighting COVID-19

          The Deputy Labour Minister sent a team to deliver food boxes to medical personnel to encourage them as they fulfill their duties caring for COVID-19 patients.           On July 28, 2021, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat reported that the COVID-19 situation continues to spread, impacting the workforce. Medical personnel has to work hard to cope with the ever-increasing number of patients. Today, she assigned the team to deliver food boxes to Busarakham Hospital (Field Hospital), the Central Chest Institute of Thailand, and Srithanya Hospital, to encourage medical personnel and so that they have the food they can eat conveniently, quickly, and safely. Deputy Labour Minister Expedites Support to Camp Workers to Alleviate COVID-19 Suffering

         On July 26, 2021, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumoื Pinyosinwat revealed that today, he assigned a team to deliver food boxes to the construction worker camps affected by the closure of the worker camps following measures to control the spread of COVID-19. The effort aims to alleviate suffering. Today, the team delivered food boxes to three construction camps.           On July 26, 2021, at 14.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, to join the committee meeting for managing donations and assets to support operations to resolve issues caused by COVID-19 No. 4/2021. The meeting took place online via Web conference (Zoom Meeting) to consider assisting medical personnel who have died from performing their duties in preventing and resolving the COVID-19 outbreaks, including those affected. Social Media Posts Commend PM and Labour Minister for “Sharing Kindness from Shops to Workers” Helping Stalls With Food Orders for Camp Site Workers to Overcome COVID-19

          The new wave of COVID-19 outbreaks has spread throughout the country, and CCSA decided to close construction worker’s campsites to restrict traveling and workers’ movement in the dark red provinces for one month to control the spread of COVID-19 in worker camp clusters. Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha has ordered the Ministry of Labour to issue measures to remedy impacted employees in worker camps, including compensation from force majeure at 50 percent of wages. Employers are asked for their cooperation in taking care of all three meals, whereas the Ministry of Labour will support consumer goods donated by the private sector through the Thai Contractors Association under H.M. The King’s Patronage. Additionally, the Ministry of Labour has sponsored food expenses, receiving food from traders. Labour Minister Assigns Deputy Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare to Deliver Food and Consumer Goods to Worker Camp Sites “Sharing Kindness to Fight COVID-19”

          On July 25, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Deputy Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, to visit the area to deliver 200 sets of food, drinks, water, M-150, and necessities to workers and their dependents in quarantine following the policy to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The delivery was part of the “sharing kindness to fight COVID-19” activity, where the Ministry of Labour delivers goods to workers to support them amid measures to close worker camps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Labour Minister Assigns Bangkok DOE Area 10 to Deliver Food and Consumer Goods to Workers in Camp Sites to Fight COVID-19

       On July 24, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Director of the Bangkok Employment Office Area 10, Ms. Thipawan Thongsri, to visit the area to receive food and consumables from Khun Ratcharin Somboonbodee, children, and the family of Laila, who donated dry foods, and from Khun Nantharat Thamcharoen and friends from a Facebook group who donated 330 sets of sandwiches, crackers, drinking water, sticky rice and fried pork, rice boxes, and egg snacks. The donations were made for the Ministry of Labour to deliver to the workers, to support those affected by the workers’ camp closure measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Labour Minister Satisfied After Concluding COVID-19 Screening Services at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng Which Serviced Over 10,000 People and Sent Almost 1,000 People for Treatment in Hospitels

          On July 23, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported a summary on the proactive COVID-19 screening for insured persons and the public, following the “Workforce Fighting Together” project at the Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan), Din Daeng District, Bangkok. Labour Minister Reports Smooth Operations of COVID-19 Screening for Insured Persons and Public at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng

           On July 12, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the progress of COVID-19 screening for insured persons under Section 33, 39, and 40 and the general public, under the “Workforce Fighting Together” project, at the facility at the West Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan), Din Daeng District, Bangkok.
