Permanent Secretary Commences Workshop to Prepare (Draft) 5-Year Government Action Plan to Drive Effective Operations

             On December 15, 2021, at 11.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong presided over the workshop’s opening ceremony to prepare the (draft) 5-year government action plan of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. The workshop also prepared for important projects for agencies under the Ministry of Labour to enable personnel in the strategy and work plans of the Ministry of Labour and those involved in the project preparation at both the central and provincial areas to write projects effectively. Labour Minister’s Assistant Delivers Policies to 280 Labour Volunteers to Jointly Develop the Nation to Overcome the Crisis Together

            On December 9, 2021, at 09.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong to preside over the delivery of policies to the Chonburi Labour Volunteers at the Chonburi Meeting Room, Chonburi City Hall. He said that the COVID-19 pandemic severely affected Thailand at the beginning of 2021. When the pandemic spread widely, it directly affected the business operations of many establishments in the Chonburi area. The state ordered many organizations to close services, including small business establishments that could not bear the cost, causing them to close, which then caused unemployment issues. According to the Chonburi Provincial database, 562 organizations temporarily closed, impacting 159,644 employees. The top three sectors were manufacturing businesses with 140 companies, wholesale and retail businesses with 162 companies, and accommodation and food service businesses with 62 companies.           On September 27, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the assistance with the flooding in many provinces that occurred from the tropical storm “Dian Mu” from September 23 until now. The storm has resulted in flash floods causing suffering among many people.           On September 18, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited the area to deliver “Uncle Tu and Uncle Pom’s Kitchen” food boxes, which allowed local vendors to cook food boxes for dinner, to have a career, and earn an income. There were 1,500 food boxes to distribute to members in the three Din Daeng communities affected by COVID-19, equivalent to 500 boxes for each community. The food boxes consisted of shrimp paste fried rice, fried chicken with ginger and rice, boiled eggs with boiled chicken rice, fried chicken rice, and Panang pork and rice.
