MOL Assigns Advisor to Visit Nakhon Pathom to Visit Section 33 Insured Persons Vaccination Services

          On September 9, 2021, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area to present a certificate of appreciation to the private sector for their contributions in providing facilities and hospitals in the social security network for supporting medical personnel in the COVID-19 vaccinations to Section 33 insured persons, to stop the pandemic from spreading to factories and establishments. The visit also aimed to boost morale and encouragement among insured persons, medical personnel, civil servants, and agencies’ staff under the Ministry of Labour in Nakhon Pathom. The occasion took place at the Dharma Practice Building in Honor of the 84th Anniversary of Maharaja, Wat Rai Khing, Rai Khing Subdistrict, Sampran District. Deputy PM Accelerate NVTCC to Brainstorm Plans on Manpower Development to Support Targeted Industries

          On September 9, 2021, at the Command Building 1, Government Houses, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan chaired the National Vocational Training Coordination Committee (NVTCC) Meeting No. 4/2021. Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, the Ministry of Labour’s executives, including government and private agencies, also attended the meeting.           General Prawit said that the National Vocational Training Coordination Committee has the authority to formulate policies and guidelines for labour development and coordinate vocational training for those in the country’s workforce.           On September 2, 2021, a group of labour leaders led by the Chairman of the Bangkok Street Hawker Club, Ms. Yada Phornpetchrampha, led members to submit a letter of thanks and encouragement to the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan. Labour Minister Assigns Secretariat to Receive Request Letter from Professional Associations, Public Taxi Motorists

          On September 1, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Secretariat, Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, to receive a request letter from the Professional Associations, Public Taxi Motorists, and a group of representatives from four taxi associations. MOL Monitors Factory Sandbox Project in Samut Sakhon

          On August 28, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, to visit the Samut Sakhon Factory Sandbox project at Unicord PCL. Mr. Boonsong said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, have given importance to the prevention and control of the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace. MOL Concludes Design Thinking Training to Drive Organization with Innovation

          On August 27, 2021, at 16.15 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Niyom Songkaew presided over the opening ceremony of the Design Thinking training program for driving organizations with innovation. The occasion occurred at the Human Resources Management Division’s meeting room, 10th floor, Ministry of Labour. The training was a 2-day course with the trainees being civil servants at the operational level, proficiency level, and special skill level under the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour, totaling 40 people.           Mr. Niyom said that he would like all trainees to apply the knowledge gained to work to the best of their ability for the agency’s benefit.           On August 27, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the first COVID-19 vaccination dose service for Section 33 insured persons at the Robinson Lifestyle Shopping Center, Phetchaburi Branch, which can vaccinate 1,250 people daily. Deputy Labour Minister Gives Green Light to Two Industries to Produce Workers for S-Curve

          The Deputy Labour Minister drives two industries, including “Robots for Industry – Aviation and Logistics,” accelerating the production of workers for the target industries.           On August 25, 2021, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat chaired the subcommittee meeting on Labour Development and Occupational Training Coordination in the S-curve Target Industries No. 4/2021 took place via video conference. MOL Spokesperson Reports Government Process on Supporting Employment for Over 100,000 New Graduates

          On August 24, 2021, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, revealed that the COVID-19 situation from 2020 to the present had affected businesses and jobs worldwide. Thailand has been affected by employment in tourism and service businesses. Still, the manufacturing and export sectors, especially in the automotive, electronic circuit board, medical equipment, and frozen food industries, have a great demand for workers. This is because many countries are unable to export products. The government under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha has not been inactive. It gives great importance to workers looking for a job, especially new graduates impacted by COVID-19. Therefore, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin has ordered the Department of Employment to source vacancies from both the private and public sectors to support.           Mrs. Theanrat said that there were 575,230 new graduates in 2020, comprising 140,755 vocational certificates, 122,585 high school diplomas, and 311,890 at the bachelor’s degrees level.
