M.P. Anusee Commences the Healthy Thailand Project to Promote Good Health Among Company Employees in Samut Sakhon

            Member of Parliament, the spokesperson for the Labour Commission and Advisor to the Labour Minister Ms. Anusee Tubsuwan, commenced Healthy Thailand for insured persons in Samut Sakhon, to drive proactive health promotion and disease prevention to insured persons in the workplace.

            On July 17, 2020, Member of Parliament, spokesperson for the Labour Commission and Advisor to the Labour Minister Ms. Anusee Tubsuwan chaired the commencement of the “Healthy Thailand for insured persons” project. Advisor to the Labour Minister Mr. Kankavee Tubsuwan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, and the Social Security Office’s Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud also joined the occasion at the meeting room on the 3rd floor, Samut Sakhon Provincial Social Security Office, Mueang Samut Sakhon, Samut Sakhon. She said that the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office has policies that focus on promoting health promotion and proactive disease prevention to insured persons in the workplace and gives importance to health comprehensively and thoroughly, mainly for the benefit of insured persons.

            M.P. Anusee said that she was delighted with the event today as this project can meet the current conditions of Thailand and the world, which has been affected by the spread of the Covid-19 virus. It places great importance on exercise, the consumption of clean and hygienic food, and regular health checks, which will lead to a better quality of life, both physically and mentally. It also reduces risk factors in health behavior through the 3H principles, namely Helping, which is to ensure that employees and insured persons are entitled to benefits under the Social Security Fund and the Compensation Fund, Healthy, which includes health promotion and disease prevention for employers, employees and insured persons, and Harmless, including activities to reduce hazards and create safety, both at work and outside working hours.

            In addition, the event discussed the topic of “Health care in the new normal,” health checks for insured persons, exhibitions on medical professional training, rehabilitation, work safety, and organization of activities under the Ministry of Labour.
