On March 5, 2020, the Ministry of Labour’s Chief Inspector-General Mr. Suwan Duangta conducted an inspection plan of the Office of the Permanent Secretary for 2020. From there, he chaired the meeting the heads of departments under the Ministry of Labour in Chiang Rai province. The Social Security Office’s Inspector-General Mrs. Pidsamai Nithipaiboo and the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Inspector-General Mrs. Udomluk Sornsari also joined the meeting at meeting room 3, 6th floor, Chiang Rai Government Center, Ministry of Labour. The meeting was the second session of the progress review according to the inspection plan of the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General for 2020. From inspections, it was found that most affiliated agencies are implementing projects/activities according to indicators following urgent and essential policies of the Ministry of Labour, according to the indicators. For budget disbursement of 2019, he asked that relevant parties accelerate disbursements as of March 31, 2020, to be at 100%, strictly following the regulations.
In the afternoon, the Chief Inspector-General of Labour, along with the Chiang Rai Labour Officer, visited Thai trainees, consisting of 1) Towing driving techniques batch 3/2020, 210 hours course, between March 2, 2020, to April 1, 2020, 2) Website design with WordPress and 3) Solar energy applications for agriculture. Public and private sector personnel from the Office of Vocational Education Commission, Ministry of Education and Sports, media institutes, the Laos Ministery of Information, Culture and Tourism, and Federation of Trade and Industry also joined the training between March 2-6, 2020. Academic Labour Expert Ms. Chonkan Bunrarasri and Acting Director of the Institute for Community Health System Research and Development, including staff and trainers from international organizations and President of the Thai Association of Northern Logistics and Production Mr. Winai Mechan gave a welcoming.
The Ministry of Labour’s Chief Inspector-General gave words of encouragement to the trainees and to be patient to apply knowledge and skills to further their careers.
