On August 2, 2019, at 09.00 hours, the Ministry of Labour’s Chief Inspector-General Mrs. Achara Kaewgamchaicharoen, presided over the meeting of provincial workers and officials, to monitor the performance of the Buriram Provincial Labour Office for 2019, for the third round. The meeting took place at the Buriram Provincial Labour Office Meeting Room. The examination found that operations of the audited agency have implemented projects/activities as determined by the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. In terms of budget disbursements for FY 2019, expenses of projects/activities followed the goal. The Ministry of Labour’s Chief Inspector-General emphasized performance, considering the quality of work over quantity, and gave helpful advice. On the project to resolve occupational problems of participants who have already passed the training, the Cheif Inspector-General advised the network of local labour volunteers to follow up about additional income. She also observed services in applying for a pension benefit following Taiwanese labour law, for Thai workers who have worked in Taiwan. In the afternoon, the Inspector-General noted the project results to increase professional opportunities and income, with basketry activities from plastic strips, organized by the Buriram Provincial Employment Office, at the Ban Pratat Bui community, Moo 5, Pa Chan, Phlapphla Chai, Buriram Province. The project is a continuation of the Buriram Labour Office’s plan to resolve occupational problems and promote skills development. From the assessment on quality, trainees had an increased income of 3,000 Baht per year, with an average income of about 12,000-15,000 Baht per year, which is to enhance the potential of workers, following the current government’s policy.
