Labour Minister and Permanent Secretary of Labour Join PM and FTI Delegation to Discuss Approaches for Promoting Public-Private Cooperation in Driving the Economy

            May 12, 2026 at 13:00 hours – Mr. Julapun Amornvivat, Minister of Labour and Pol. Lt. Col. Wannapong Kotcharak, Permanent Secretary of Labour, participated in discussions and an exchange of views on promoting public-private cooperation in driving the Thai economy and industry forward. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Mrs Phimjai Lee-Issaranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries, and the executive committee of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) also took part in the discussions. The meeting was held at the Phakdibodinthorn Building at Government House.

            The key issues discussed at this meeting included: proposals for approaches to promoting the Thai economy and industry; the promotion of domestically manufactured goods; the promotion of energy security to enhance Thailand’s competitiveness; legal and regulatory reform; the acceleration of infrastructure investment to strengthen the country’s competitive capacity; the improvement of industrial waste management in Thailand; and the revival of meetings of the Joint Public-Private Consultative Committee for Economic Problem Solving. It is anticipated that these discussions will bolster investor confidence and enable public and private sector policy implementation to proceed in an increasingly stable and sustainable manner going forward.
