Advisor to the Labour Minister visited Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya to commence a project to enhance knowledge about labour in educational institutions, promoting learning at all ages and integration in all sectors, along with counseling for further education for the youths to be able to choose a suitable career in line with the needs of the labour market.

On August 29, 2019, at 09.00 hours, Advisor to the Labour Minister Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jak Punchoopet presided over the opening of the project to enhance knowledge of labour in educational institutions at the King Rama VIII Auditorium, Ayutthaya Wittayalai School. Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, with the objective to improve knowledge about labour, duties, and information on labour markets, worldwide careers, worldwide education and other relevant information, the information can then be used as a guideline in choosing to study or choosing a career suitable to their knowledge, ability, interest, personality and in line with the needs of the labour market. Knowledge and understanding of safety in educational institutions were also shared. There are 400 students at the grade 12 level who are about to graduate from Ayutthaya Wittayalai School, who received knowledge following the project. The labour volunteer leaders of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, workplace safety officer club of Ayutthaya, Ayutthaya personnel management club, the Basic Education Commission of Ayutthaya, Wittayalai School Ayutthaya Alumni Association under the Royal Patronage and the Association of Parents and Teachers of Ayutthaya Witthayalai School also participated in the project.
Advisor to the Labour Minister spoke about the government’s policy in promoting learning and development skills of all ages focused on school development together with teacher development, which aims to develop career skills, through a system that helps build skills and increase the efficiency of all ages. It sets labour standards, providing a system that can support skills development needs of all ages to support the changes of careers to match the needs of the labour market, which may have technological progress in the future. It also creates social insurance that covers education, health, and employment that is suitable for all populations, by creating educational equality and improving the quality of education, including protection of workers both in the system and informal workers, to have safety and proper sanitation at work, receive income, welfare, and benefits suitable for living.
“The project to enhance knowledge about labour in educational institutions in “Ayutthaya Wittayalai School” is a project that helps promote the implementation of policy and is very beneficial to the educational and labour development of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. We appreciate the cooperation in working according to the civil state guidelines of all sectors, including the government, private sectors, the public sector and labour volunteers in the area. I thank the Deputy Governor of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, all organizers and collaborators who organized this project,” concluded the Advisor to the Labour Minister.
The Advisor to the Labour Minister then visited the training program under the project to create awareness of preventive measures on occupational safety, health and working environment to reduce the harm of employees in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province (batch 3) at the Ayutthaya River View Hotel, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.
