MOL Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Revenue Department on Linkage of Social Security Contributions Data

            On July 10, 2020, at 09.20 hours, Labour Minister M.R. Chatu Mongol Sonakul presided over the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on the linkage of information relating to employers and insured persons between the Social Security Office and the Revenue Department. Secretariat to the Labour Minister Lt. Gen. Nuntdach Makswat, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and the Social Security Office’s Secretariat Mr. Todsaphon kritwongwiman signed the memorandum, together with Information and Communication Technology Advisor from the Revenue Department Ms. Khanitha Sahamethaphat. The occasion took place at the the Somkiat Chayasriwong Meeting Room, 4th floor, Multipurpose Building. Social Security Office, Tiwanon Road, Talat Khwan, Mueang, Nonthaburi.

            Labour Minister M.R. Chatu Mongol Sonakul said that the Social Security Office and the Revenue Department share the common intention of integrating government services through data linkage to raise the level of public service and increase efficiency of the department, to provide convenience, speed, and accuracy. The initiative aligns with digital transformation guidelines that focuses on applying digital technology to work processes and services, to deliver maximum convenience and promote work innovations that enhance service levels.

            Information and Communication Technology Advisor Ms. Khanitha Sahamethaphat said that the Memorandum of Understanding on the electronic data linkage for taxpayers and insured persons using the social security deduction rights has existed since the 2017 tax year. Service users do not need to collect documents and can request insurance documents to exercise personal income tax deductions. User are also able to easily check the social security deduction rights through the My Tax Account system at the Department of Social Development’s website www.rd.go.th, which is an important mechanism for driving the nation towards a Digital Thailand to its full potential.
