The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour commenced the training program to provide knowledge on the management of the National Labour Data Center and to utilize the data to become Provincial Big Data, which will help to develop digital capabilities of personnel within the organization. This will promote knowledge about the global digital technology transformation in the 4.0 era.
Today (August 26, 2020) at 13.45 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Surapol Ploysook presided over the commencement ceremony of the training program for the administration of the National Labour Information Center and the use of information to become Provincial Big Data at the Grand Ballroom, S Ratchada Hotel, Bangkok. The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour said that “This training is of great importance to building awareness and understanding, and to prepare personnel for the digital economy and society era, where digital technology plays an increasingly important role. It is very necessary for the way of life of people and has resulted in structural changes, forms of economic activity, production, trade, services, and social processes, including interpersonal interactions. Technology has affected work performance and the management of government agencies and the private sector, for example. Big Data is a technology that can create benefits and be applied for organizational effectiveness.
The organization of this training is just the beginning to create awareness and understanding, and to develop digital capabilities of personnel within the organization, especially on the digital technology trends affecting the direction of work for the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour in the 4.0 era. The training focuses on the knowledge and understanding of Big Data, which is a challenge for personnel in data management. This is coupled with the use of Big Data for work, to keep agency personnel up to date on global digital technology transformations, in relation to the direction of government administration in the digital economy and society. It will help organizations adjust to build their own competencies by leveraging digital technology or new innovations to apply to the benefit of the organization in the future.”
The training program was held between August 26-27, 2020. Participants consisted of the Office Directors, Center Directors, Divisional Directors, Executive System Development Specialists, Internal Auditors, the Head of the Anti-Corruption Operation Center, Provincial Labour Officers, the Director of the Civil Service Division and civil servants from agencies under the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour, totaling 130 people.
