Permanent Secretary of Labour Chairs 13th Social Security Committee Meeting No. 23/2021

         On November 9, 2021, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong chaired the 13th Social Security Committee Meeting No. 23/2021 at the Amphol Singhakovin Meeting Room, 6th Floor, Administration Building, Social Security Office. The meeting took place via conference. The Social Security Office’s Secretary-General, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, also attended the meeting. The important meeting resolutions were as follows:          1. Approval of the 3-year government action plan by the Social Security Office (2020-2022) and the revised version for 2022 by adding an ad hoc plan to develop the Social Security Office from the COVID-19 situation.          2. Approval to adjust the plan to develop an information database system to assess the results and effects of the three-year working capital (2020-2022) of the Social Security Fund. The adjustment is from the original project to develop an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) as a system for applying for dental benefits.          3. Labour Minister Joins SBPDSC’s Press Conference and Prepares for 2022 to Improve the Quality of Life for the People

          On November 8, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined to listen to the Southern Border Provinces Development Strategy Committee’s (SBPDSC) press conference and important projects to be driven in 2022. Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha joined as the chairman of the press conference and delivered policies. The Cabinet, the Secretary-General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC), representatives of the Governors from all five southern border provinces, and related officials attended the occasion at the Phakdi Bordin Building, Government Houses.           Past achievements and progress include solving the people’s problems amid the COVID-19 situation that has caused unemployment, a lack of career and income, problems returning from Malaysia, and other issues. Measures were launched to resolve both short-term and long-term problems concretely. The committee has driven land utilization and restored the fundamental economy, following the action plan on integrated power management in the southern border provinces, for stability, prosperity, and sustainability. MOL Awards Thailand Labour Management Excellence Award 2021

            On October 6, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Pornsak Charoenprasert, to preside over the award ceremony for the Thailand Labour Management Excellence Award 2021 and Award for Outstanding Model Establishment in Occupational Safety, Health and Working Environment at the Provincial Level, 2021. The occasion took place at the Office of the Bank for Agriculture and Cooperatives meeting room, Sisaket Province. Advisor to the Labour Minister Mr. Thanakrit Jirivipakorn and the heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Sisaket Province also participated in this ceremony. Organizations that have passed the assessment criteria of the Office of Labour Protection and Welfare in Sisaket Province received this award, including 21 branches of the Bank for Agriculture and Cooperatives. Labour Minister Assigns Advisor to Phetchaburi to Award Establishments with the Thai Labour Management Excellence Award 2021

          On September 28, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area to award workplaces with the Thailand Labor Management Excellence Award 2021. The Ministry of Labour organized the Thailand Labour Management Excellence Award 2021 ceremony, awarding three organizations for the best workforce management system for 2021, committed to promoting a good quality of life for their employees.           On September 15, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed Dr. Taweekiat Rongsawat, Chairman of the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand. Permanent Secretary of Labour Joins Panel Discussion at the International Conference for Building a Nation 2021

          On September 8, 2021, at 16.45 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol represented the Labour Minister, participating in the discussion at the 5th International Conference for Building a Nation, which took place in an online meeting format. Over 1,000 people attended, including important figures from the public and private sectors and scholars in various fields from many countries. Participants exchanged knowledge and experience in important issues related to nation-building in various fields so that social stakeholders and national policymakers are aware of important issues and can work together to drive solutions together. The topic of this discussion was strategies and guidelines for recovering from the COVID-19 crisis.
