On Monday, August 15, 2022, at 09.00 hours, Narathiwat Provincial Labour Officer, Mr. Ashwin Pujachakan, presided over the Labour Graduate Workshop in Narathiwat for the 2022 fiscal year. The occasion took place at the Narathat Conference Room, 4th floor, Narathiwat’s Ministry of Labour Government Center Building. Labour graduates from 13 districts in Narathiwat Province participated, consisting of Mueang District, Tak Bai District, Yi Ngo District, Ba Cho District, Rangae District, Rueso District, Si Sakhon District, Cho Ai Rong District, Sukhirin District, Su-ngai Kolok District, Su-ngai Padi District, Chanae District, and Waeng District. On July 26, 2022, Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, chaired the working group meeting to consider the reports on the implementation of the International Labour Organization Conventions No. 1/2022 and No. 2/2022 to consider the report on implementation of Convention No. 112 on Employment Policy, 1964 and the report on the implementation of Convention No. 159 on Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Disabled Persons), 1983. The Ministry of Labour’s representatives and related agencies attended the meeting at the Prasong Ranant Meeting Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. As a member country of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Thailand has a mission to regularly prepare reports on the ratification of international conventions. In 2022, Thailand has to submit two reports on the implementation of the International Labour Organization Conventions outlined above, which is under the responsibility of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. On July 22, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, chaired the State Enterprise Labour Relations Committee Meeting No. 4/2022. The meeting considered Mr. Prinya Yoskaew, member of the Provincial Waterworks Authority’s State Enterprise Labour Union, who submitted a petition to the State Enterprise Labour Relations Board, accusing Mr. Suriyo Buakaew, Assistant Manager of the Provincial Waterworks Authority, Lopburi Branch to violate Section 35 (3) (4), Section 36 (2) and Section 35 (3) (4) of the State Enterprise Labour Relations Act B.E. 2543. In addition, it considered the Pawnshop Workers Union’s petition filed with the State Enterprise Labour Relations Board, alleging that the Public Pawnshop Office, the employer, violated Section 35 (3) of the Enterprise Labour Relations Act B.E. 2543. It also considered paying special welfare to workers in the southern border provinces, including the outstanding state enterprise contest project on labour relations.
