The issue is to analyze and review the qualitative variables. According to the Malaysian Immigration Department, illegal foreign workers were abducted started on July 1, 2560

          The Labor Office in Malaysia found that 574 Thai workers were arrested. (Information as of 6 September 2017) Most of them were working as receptionists in entertainment areas and massage staff In addition, the Malaysian Labor Office in Malaysia has been contacted by relatives of Thai migrant workers who have come to work in Malaysia to help their relatives arrested by Malaysian authorities because of work without permission.           The Labor Office in Malaysia would like to inform you that to work without a work permit or smuggling using Tourist Visa is illegal to enter Malaysia. Cambodian opens proof of nationality on January 3, 2018, employers and laborers have been granted custody since December 25

          Mr. Anurak Tossarat, Director-General of the Department of Employment, revealed that the Cambodian authorities had been able to obtain a nationality check on January 3, 2018 at the Labor Certification Center of Cambodia, Rayong and Bangkok. Songkhla was opened on January 4, 2018. It was able to handle 550 people a day. For Citizenship verification at the provincial employment office or Bangkok Employment Agency, Area 1-10, since December 25, 2017           Mr. Anurak Tossarat said that the Cambodian workers who need to prove citizenship is 616,282 people now prove citizenship 171,598 people, 444,684 people.           Permanent Secretary of Labour M.L. Puntrik Smiti welcomed participants who joined the seminar on “Foreign Worker Management Royal Decree B.E. 2560 – the benefits to Thais”, organized by the Department of Employment at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram today (5 July 2017). The seminar was organized to explain the essence of the Foreign Worker Management Royal Decree B.E.

Ministry of Labour Prepares for Computer Crime Act B.E. 2560

Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Anurak Tossarat, chaired the seminar on preparation to support the Computer Crime Act B.E 2560 (2nd issue) and to promote technological efficiency within the Ministry of Labour. The seminar to place today (2 February 2017) at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram conference room. On the 8th May 2016, the Kaohsiung Labour Office joined with Thai workers in Taiwan, for the organization of the annual sports day for 2016, which took place at Yen Shao High School in Kaohsiung. The event hosted a futsal competition, men and women’s volleyball competitions, religious blessing ceremonies and career advisory services. Over 300 sports competitors and cheering teams from Southern Taiwan took part in the event.

              Embassy at Kuwait notified to coordinate Snr. Labour Minister Reaffirms Five Measures on Cambodian Workers Following Consultations with Federation of Thai Industries, Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Thai Bankers’ Association; Call for Leniency to Address Labour Shortages and Economic Impact; Instructs Department of Employment to Implement Strict Oversight While Maintaining Border Security and Confirms No Policy to Reopen Borders in Any Case

March 9, 2026 – Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Labour, together with Mr. Pichet Thongphan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, spoke following a meeting with the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB), comprising the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Thai Industries, and the Thai Bankers’ Association. The private sector had called for urgent solutions to the shortage of foreign workers, particularly Cambodian workers in the industrial, construction, and agricultural sectors, to prevent impacts on the country’s competitiveness. Ms. Trinuch stated that she had listened to the concerns and fully understood the potential impacts raised by the private sector. The Ministry of Labour reaffirmed five key measures as follows: The meeting served as a platform for the private sector to share concerns, challenges, and recommendations. The principle for managing Cambodian workers in Thailand is that no new Cambodian workers will be admitted into the country; only those who already hold valid work permits will be managed.
