Labour Minister Coordinates With Embassy in Tel Aviv to Transport Bodies of Two Thai Workers Back to Thailand on May 26

          On May 20, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about transporting the bodies of the Thai workers killed in the Israeli bombing to Thailand. He said that Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, have expressed their condolences over the death of Thai workers and concern for the injured Thai workers. The Labour Minister was therefore instructed to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He had a phone call to speak with the Thai Ambassador in Tel Aviv, Ms. Phannapa Chandrarom. The coordination informed that the two deceased Thai workers were Mr. Weerawat Karanborirak, 44, a resident of Phetchabun, and Mr. Sikharin Sangram, 24, a resident of Buriram. The bodies will arrive in Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport on May 26. The company where the Thai workers work will be responsible for delivering the bodies to the workers’ homes.          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Secretariat to the Labour Minister to commence the Bangkok Job Fair 2021. The event has over 40 leading organizations joining with recruitment booths, with over 5,000 vacancies. Labour Minister Assigns Advisor to Send the Last Batch of 264 Thai Agricultural Workers to Israel for Work

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Advisor to send 264 Thai workers to travel to work in Israel’s agricultural sector, the last batch at the end of 2020, creating income opportunities for families. The Advisor revealed the Prime Minister’s focus on deploying Thai workers abroad, bringing back income to the country, together with knowledge and experience to further their careers.           On December 9, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan to visit and give words of encouragement to Thai workers traveling to work in Israel’s agricultural sector under the “Thailand-Israel Cooperation on the Placement of Workers” (TIC) project, where each worker will earn 48,073 Baht a month. MOL Joins 26th ASEAN Labour Minister’s Meeting (ALMM)

          On October 28, 2020, at 09.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol as head of the Thai delegation to attend the 26th ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Meeting (ALMM) through a video conference system at the Sangsingkeaw meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. The meeting hosted the key topic on promoting the ASEAN workforce to enhance competitiveness, adaptability, and flexibility in the future of jobs.           The Permanent Secretary of Labour made a statement on behalf of the Chair of the ASEAN Committee on the Promotion and Protection of Foreign Workers’ Rights (ACMW) to summarize key performance metrics and new projects under the ACMW Action Plan 2021-2025. Four documents in principle were adopted in labour results to prepare a presentation to leaders for notation at the 37th ASEAN Summit in November 2020.                The Ministry of Labour organizes the Job Expo Thailand 2020, the largest national job expedition, to alleviate unemployment suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic and economic stagnation. Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin was chairman of the ceremony and attended the event’s press conference among the media and many honoured guests such as Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL., the Minor Food Group PCL., and PTT. The event took place at the Ministry of Labour’s Jompol P.                 The Labour Minister reported that the Ministry of Labour met with government agencies and private sector companies to prepare for the JOB EXPO THAILAND 2020, scheduled on September 26-28, 2020, at BITEC Bangna. Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Concludes Civil Services Training Course for 26th Batch of New Officials

            On July 24, 2020, at 09.00 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Surapol Ploysook presided over the closing ceremony of the Training Course on Civil Service Training for the Ministry of Labour’s 26th batch of new officials and awarded epaulets. The occasion took place at the Sida Activity Resort, Nakhon Nayok. The said training aims to instill the philosophy of being a good government official and develop skills required for civil service practice. The program focuses on learning from both experiences of the expert speakers and study hands-on practices, in and out of the classroom. The training schedule is between July 13 to July 24, 2020, for a total of 12 days.          On July 13, 2020, at 08.30 hours, the Department of Skill Development’s Director-General Mr. Tawat Benchatikul presided over the commencement ceremony of the training course on the development of the Ministry of Labour’s government officials, batch 26. The session took place at the Job Seeker Training Room, 11th floor, Social Security Office, Area 3. The said training aims to instill the philosophy of being a good government official and develop skills required for civil service practice. The training also aims to promote moral and ethical practices, teamwork, creating good rapport among colleagues and allow participants to develop their working network. The program focuses on learning from both experiences of the expert speakers and study hands-on practices, in and out of the classroom. The training schedule is between July 13 to July 24, 2020, for a total of 12 days.           The Labour Minister commenced the ‘Ministry of Labour’s 26th Anniversary of sustainable workforce transformation and reform. Chatumongol Sonakul presided over the ceremony on the occasion of the Ministry of Labour’s 26th anniversary. The event started in the morning with a religious ceremony, offering alms to 10 monks and paying respects to Phra Phutthasuttham Bophit, Phra Phut Chinnarat, a Brahmin ceremony, then paying respects to San Por Pu Chai Mongkhon and San Thao Mahaprom Thewari, at the front of the Smart Job Center. The 12th ASEAN Professional Skill Competition, over 300 youths participated in 26 competitions.

          On August 30, 2561, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor, revealed that the Ministry of Labor received the Grace from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony of the 12th ASEAN Handicraft Competition at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani, Pakkred. Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Labor, Mr. Suthi Sukosol, Director-General of Department of Skill Development, and Senior Executives, Ministry of Labor welcomed for the visit.

The Ministry of Labor is ready to host the 12th ASEAN Workers’ Skill Competition to win 26 prizes.

          On August 22, 2018, at 09.30, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor, presided over the 12th ASEAN Handicraft Conference, at the Field Marshal’s Office, Pibulsongkram, 5th floor, Ministry of Labor. The ASEAN Handicraft Competition is an agreement of the ASEAN Member Countries. The ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint is intended to be a part of the ASEAN Human Development Agenda (AHRP) under the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint. Encourage youth and labor force in ASEAN to be active and interested to improve their skills to keep up with technology.

NOW TV 26 Interviews Spokesperson on Zoning

           Today (3 April 2017) at 13.30, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and spokesperson Mr. Ananchai Uthaipatanacheep gave an interview to NOW TV on channel 26 on “zoning for migrant workers”. The interview took place at the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-Generals working room at the ministry’s building. The date and time of release will be announced when it is confirmed.
