“Labour Inspectors” Meet Thai Workers and Labour Volunteers in Malaysian Labour Office

        The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and committee, traveled to visit Thai workers and meet labour volunteers in Malaysia, at the Labour Office in Malaysia. The visiting committee also promoted new businesses, following the “Thai kitchen to the world” policy, and commended volunteers for their sacrifices in helping other people.

 

 

         On May 31, 2019, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Tosapol Kritawongwiman and committee including the Department of Employment’s Inspector-General Mrs. Napasorn Toongsooksai, the Department of Skill Development’s Inspector-General Mr. Sa-nga Wongsapan, the Social Security Office’s Inspector-General Mr. Seela Keotabhand, Expert Labour Academic Mrs. Daorung Jumruen and Expert Labour Academic Mrs. Supakyada Boonsoongnern from the Inspection and Evaluation Office, Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. The committee traveled to inspect the Labour Office in Malaysia and met with Thai workers. The Ministry of Labour’s inspecting committee paid a courtesy call to Thai Ambassador in Kuala Lumpur, Mr. Narong Sasitorn, with 2 Minister Counsellors and advisor (consular department). On this occasion, the two parties exchanged views on political issues, governance, the economy, society, the management of foreign workers in Malaysia and the mission of the consular and labour offices in Malaysia working together as a team. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General discussed the “Thai kitchen to the world” policy formed by the Labour Minister, which the Thai Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur saw that it should encourage new businesses to arise.

         The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and committee listened to the performance of the Labour Office in Malaysia, with key points being the implementation of missions following the policy of the Labour Minister and the Permanent Secretary of Labour, performance and indicators, 2019 budget spending, as well as listening to operational problems and obstacles. Furthermore, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and committee gave suggestions to improve the mission of the Labour Office in Malaysia too.

         Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and committee met with labour volunteers in Malaysia, namely Khun Somporn and Khun Nisanat, volunteers in Kuala Lumpur, Khun Mayuri in Negeri Sembilan and Khun Natthathai in Malacca State. In addition, the meeting exchanged views on the mission of helping Thai people and Thai workers in Malaysia, whereby the ministry’s Inspector-General commended and praised the volunteers for sacrificing their time, physical strength and emotional strength to help others, which is great merit as those who do good for others will prosper.

         In the evening, the ministry’s Inspector-General and committee traveled to Amarin Restaurant in Mid Valley Megamall, to visit the chef and the chef’s assistant. The Inspector-General commended their travels and journey to work legally and Thai cooking, which is an opening of the Thai kitchen to the world, making Thai food become more renown.
