Labour Minister Receives Consumer Goods from Private Sector to Support Workforce Overcome COVID-19

          On September 14, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin received consumer goods from three groups from the private sector for the Ministry of Labour to help workers affected by COVID-19. The first group was Mr. Takahaki Kobayashi, Director of Kitz (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and the Kitz Labour Union of Thailand. The group donated 800 bags of rice packed in 5 kg bags and some dry foods. The second group was Mr. Warawong Tangkitvet, President of Vanda Pack Co., Ltd., and the team, which gave 50,000 sets of food boxes and food cups with lids. The third group was Mr. Hiroyuki Hasegawa, president of AW (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and the Japanese management team, who donated 1,000 bags of rice packed in 5 kg bags. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, Police Major General Nantachat Supamongkol from the Office of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics) Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion at the foyer on the first floor, Ministry of Labour building. Mr. Suchart said that Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, are concerned about the workforce and the general public amid the COVID-19 situation.
          “Today, the Ministry of Labour thanks all three private sector companies, including Kitz (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and the Kitz Labour Union of Thailand for the rice and dry foods, Vanda Pack Co., Ltd., for the food boxes and cups with lids, and AW (Thailand) Co., Ltd., for donating rice. With the donations, the Ministry of Labour will support workers who have been affected by COVID-19. The effort helps lighten the burden and build morale in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic to overcome this situation together,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
