Content Description

Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan is concerned for the people affected by Covid-19. He has instructed the care and support to alleviate the suffering of the people in the area. In cooperation with generous elders from Chonburi Province, the “Pracharat Punsuk” kitchen was launched, purchasing 100 sets of food each day to distribute to the community members in distress. Food is distributed to 100 people, per restaurant, per day. Over ten restaurants have been supported over the past 14 days. The community members are happy about the support, easing their burden in times of trouble.
On May 16, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that the Covid-19 outbreaks had caused distress among merchants who could not sell their products, including community members who lack the income to take care of their family. In particular, shops and restaurants have been affected by the prohibition of eating inside the store, whereby businesses are only allowed to operate with deliveries. The measures have resulted in reduced sales. Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, is concerned about the effects of Covid-19 among the merchants and the people, and therefore instructed the Labour Minister to care for the affected groups.
Mr. Suchart said that in Chonburi, he has worked with generous elders in the province to create the “Pracharat Punsuk” kitchen by purchasing one-plate dishes from restaurants such as red pork rice and chicken rice, at 100 sets per day, to distribute to 100 community members a day, per shop. They have now supported almost ten restaurants in 14 days. The community members were delighted that the people of Chonburi are not forgotten. The Labour Minister had previously mobilized a team to spray Covid-19 disinfectants in Muang Chonburi, covering tens of thousands of households. Hotels have been transformed as residences for medical personnel in Chonburi Province, and rice and chicken eggs have been distributed to tens of thousands of families who have suffered from the impacts. The efforts ensure that community members have food to eat and goods to use. The Labour Minister affirmed that he has never forgotten community members and has consistently reached out to support them.
“As the Labour Minister and M.P. for the Palang Pracharat Party in Chonburi, I wish for the people to take care of their health and stay safe from Covid-19. We will get through this together,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
