On October 15, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, to visit the area and observe the people’s lives in the Din Daeng Triangular area by integrating work between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Bangkok Metropolitan Police Bureau and the Ministry of Labour. The occasion took place at the Din Daeng Flat Housing Community, National Housing Authority. The first stop was at the multipurpose square in front of the 8-story flat building. Bangkok Governor Pol. Gen. Asawin Kwanmuang, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Pol. Lt. Gen. Samran Nuanma, National Housing Governor Mr. Thawipong Wichaidit, and Advisor to the Labour Minister Dr. Chamlong Chuayrod observed the activities in the event area and met with the people who attended the event. They also distributed 504 relief bags to the people. The second stop was at the basement of the Din Daeng flat, Flat one on Din Daeng Road. The Labour Minister’s Secretariat and executives from relevant departments also met with the people who attended the event and gave 670 relief bags.
Mr. Suthep said that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, is concerned about the workforce, workers, and the general public who have been affected by the Covid-19 situation, especially the elderly, young children, bedridden patients and residents of Din Daeng flats who have no income due to the impact of COVID-19. Today, he was assigned by Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin to integrate work between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Bangkok Metropolitan Police Bureau, and the Ministry of Labour, to deliver over 1,000 relief bags to the residents of the Din Daeng flats to alleviate their suffering and the burden of expenses, as the people of the Din Daeng community have been affected by COVID-19. There are over 30,000 residents, including 300 households with vulnerable groups, such as young children, the elderly, bedridden patients, and those unable to help themselves. Previously, the Ministry of Labour instructed the vendors in the community to cook food boxes for dinner, providing them with a career, as they made 1,500 boxes daily for one month. They also gave out five kilograms of rice per household, totaling 7,700 households to the residents of the Din Daeng community affected by COVID-19.
