MOL Joins Center for the Covid-19 Situation Administration Operational Meeting at Government Houses

         On December 27, 2020, at 09.00 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Phairoj Chotikasathian, joined the Center for the Covid-19 Situation Administration Operational Meeting at Santi Maitree Building (inside), Government Houses. General Natthaphon Nakaphanich chaired the meeting. The meeting reported the progress of the Covid-19 situation and the following agendas for consideration:
1. Safety certification of fishery products.
2.Travel into the Kingdom by air, water and land and staying in state detention facilities.
3. Business/activity audits in accordance with relaxation measures.

         The Center for the Covid-19 Situation Administration Operational Meeting emphasized the request for cooperation in all sectors, including the public sector, the private sector and civil society on the prevention of Covid-19 efforts to the fullest capacity according to the following measures:

1. D – Distancing
2. M – Mask wearing
3. H – Hand washing frequently
4. T – Testing for temperature/Covid-19
5. T – Taichana to be installed and used, and to consider temporary business closure as necessary following the local areas’ situation.

         The issue of foreign worker migrations in Nonthaburi was raised in the case of traveling to Bangkok and Tak, and the case of foreign workers returning to their countries of origin. The meeting discussed the issue extensively and prepared details and for a proposal presentation to the CCSA as an ad hoc proposal and the Department of Disease Control to prescribe preventive measures in this case as well.
         Mr. Phairoj addressed the case of foreign worker management. If the Cabinet passes a resolution approving the registration of foreign workers to solve the problem of illegal migrant workers, then foreign workers may be moved. Therefore, it is necessary to have a plan to support the management for disease control in this issue.
