MOL Opens OSOS in Southern Border Government Center in Yala

           The Ministry of Labour integrated with local work units providing labour services within the One Start One Stop Investment Center (OSOS), located on the 3rd floor of the Southern Border Government Center Building, Muang Yala, Yala, facilitating investors, entrepreneurs and the general public who contact the government, driving the economy by linking government work systems in the southern border areas, in response to government policies. 

 

 

          On August 7, 2019, Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha presided over the opening of the One Start One Stop Investment Center (OSOS) located on the 3rd floor of the Southern Border Government Center Building, Muang Yala, Yala. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and heads of local government agencies were also present to welcome the Prime Minister and join the commencement. The One Start One Stop Investment Center (OSOS) is open for service on government working days and hours. The foundations are divided so that on Monday, services include the request to use electricity, install tap water, drill underground water, install communication system, and permission for construction. Labour services are available on Tuesday, including job vacancies and investor needs, importing foreign workers under MOUs, training to prepare for work, training for skill enhancement, compliance with the Labour Development Promotion Act BE 2545, skills standards assessments, labour information services, compliance with labour laws, compliance with social security laws, the Social Security Fund, the Compensation Fund and new business groups. Services on Wednesday include business/intellectual property registration services, international trade, commercial registration, request permission to operate enterprises according to the Public Health Act, request permission under various acts related to the Industrial Office, application for gas station license and liquefied petroleum and business consultations according to multiple acts related to the Energy Office. Services on Thursday include the registration of rights and legal services, certification of land and building assessment, tax payment, FDA registration, Halal registration, information services for small and medium enterprises and complaints. Services on Friday consist of agencies in the southern border provinces to join the service. As for the Ministry of Labour, there are agencies which are the provincial Employment Offices, provincial Skill Development Institutes, provincial Labour Offices, and the Social Security Offices providing services as well.
          For the labour situation in the five southern border provinces, namely, Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat, Songkhla and Satun, there are a total of 1,894,590 workers, comprising 1,864,716 employed workers, 29,753 unemployed people, 265 workers waiting for seasonal work, 1,020,960 informal workers, 81,585 foreign workers. 14,767 organizations and 500,640 insured persons.
