On June 27, 2019, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol chaired the opening ceremony of job fair in honour of the royal institution in Songkhla Province at the Parichat Auditorium, Thaksin University, Songkhla Campus, Muang, Songkhla. Director-General of the Department of Employment Mrs. Petcharat Sinouy gave an address, whereby 3 of the ministry’s executives also joined the occasion. The Permanent Secretary of Labour said that the Ministry of Labour’s Department of Employment is a unit with a mission to promote employment and protect job seekers, to ensure the population has work that suits their knowledge, ability and aptitude. It also protects workers from deception and ensures appropriate and fair benefits. Currently, unemployment and labour shortages in Thailand are caused by the inconsistency between the workforce entering the labour market and the needs of the labor market, as those studying and the general unemployed population are unaware of the information in the world of work, labour market needs and guidelines for taking up a career in the present and future, as well as preparation for finding a career. Therefore, today is a good opportunity for participants to express their loyalty and remembrance in the most graceful manner to the royal institution and will promote people to have a way to choose to pursue a career.
This event will be held between June 27-28, 2019, at Thaksin University. Songkhla Campus, Mueang, Songkhla. The event hosts a blessing signing ceremony to honour the monarchy, a commemoration exhibition, an exhibition of royal projects, workforce meeting activities by applying information technology to apply for jobs.
