The Ministry of Labour organized a job fair at Central Plaza, Udon Thani. The event hosted many activities, such as meeting with workers, recruiting employees with over 3,500 job vacancies, practicing and demonstrating freelance jobs and career counseling to enhance the quality of life and reduce inequalities, following government policy.

On July 10, 2019, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol chaired the opening ceremony of a job fair in honour of the royal institution at Udon Thani Hall, 4th floor, Central Plaza, Udon Thani. Deputy Director-General of the Department of Employment Mrs. Theinrat Nawamawat gave an address, whereby Deputy Provincial Governor of Udon Thani Mr. Wanchai Chanporn, provided a welcoming address. The Permanent Secretary of Labour said that the Ministry of Labour’s Department of Employment organized the job fair in honour of the royal institution and His Majesty the King, disseminating royal initiatives on the promotion of people’s occupation, increasing the opportunity for job seekers, allowing people changing jobs to choose a position that matches their knowledge and ability, and apply for jobs with employers/establishments directly. At the same time, students, the unemployed, and job seekers can obtain information about careers, which can be used as a guideline for choosing a suitable career. This is also another way to reduce labour shortages.
The event will be held on July 10-11, 2019, at Udon Thani Hall, 4th floor, Central Plaza Udon Thani. The event hosts a blessing signing ceremony to honour the monarchy, a commemoration ceremony, an exhibition of royal projects, workforce meeting activities with employers present to take job applications. There are around 40 companies and employers with over 3,500 job vacancies in 36 roles. In addition, job search is available through the job box, with a career showcase based on the royal initiative on career promotion, demonstrations of 25 freelance careers, such as making tie-dye fabrics, drawing cloth patterns, making gel candles, creating plastic baskets, fresh flower arrangements, making fruit juice cocktails, fresh coffee, green tea and Thai tea, and making a bouquet of pandan flowers. Activities also include a new career promotion debate on “the salaryman can do it and will stay in trend”, with services provided by agencies under the Ministry of Labour, government and private sectors in Udon Thani, career counseling, showcasing products of homeworkers, the elderly, agriculturists and housewives who have applied the royal knowledge to work as well.
