Permanent Secretary of Labour Joins Click Off in Electronic Employer Files in Khon Kaen

                On March 12, 2020, at 10.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol chaired the opening ceremony of the project to create electronic employer files at the Khon Kaen Social Security Office, to improve the services, for the people to have access to services with convenience, speed, transparency and through many channels. The Social Security Office’s Inspector-General Ms. Sumnatha Praisuwanna, together with Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen Mr. Panthong Sarkuphan, the Khon Kaen Social Security Officer Mr. Kwanchai Narotboon, President of the Chamber of Commerce Mr. Kamonpong Sanguantrakul, Advisor to the Federation of Thai Industries Mrs. Patcharee Kawiwatsawat, the Khon Kaen Social Security subcommittee and government officials gave a welcoming.

                The Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, said that the Ministry of Labour delivered an urgent policy in 2020 to expedite the “Workforce Transformation” and essential policies to upgrade electronic services to the public to access services conveniently, quickly, transparently, through many channels, and following good governance. The Social Security Office has been assigned to improve the level of services for the people so that the Ministry of Labour is one that is accepted by the general public. It has therefore implemented an electronic employer file project which converts the use of paper to electronic documents. The Social Security Office has set a target of more than 900,000 files. Today will be commencement at the same time, nationwide. The transformation is an essential mechanism for changing the Ministry of Labour’s work processes towards a Thailand 4.0.

                The Permanent Secretary of Labour said that creating electronic employer files is a project by the Social Security Office that aims to reform the system and practices by converting paper documents to electronic forms by using technology innovation in data management, which is called “electronic files,” to manage information for employers, employees and insurers nationwide. The database will have up to 12,535 employer files stored electronically for Khon Kaen. Staff will be able to access the system with ease and efficiency, to provide the public with electronic services as a digital government, allowing access through many channels, complete information and in a modern way. The initiative is a response to the 20-year national strategy, strategy 6, to balance and develop the public management system, for the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office, to continue logging into the electronic document storage system.
