Suthi Sukosol, at the auspicious time of 09.00 hours, paid homage to the sacred items at the ministry, including Phra Phut Sutthitham Bophit, Phra Phut Chinnarat, San Por Pu Chai Mongkhon and San Thao Mahaprom Thewarit, on the occasion of become the Ministry of Labour’s 11th Permanent Secretary, after the royal ceremony on June 12.
On June 13, 2019, at 09.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Suthi Sukosol worshipped the Ministry of Labour’s sacred items including Phra Phut Sutthitham Bophit, Phra Phut Chinnarat, San Por Pu Chai Mongkhon and San Thao Mahaprom Thewarit, after being appointed to the position. The appointment followed an announcement by the Office of the Prime Minister regarding the appointment from Director-General of the Department of Skill Development to be Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour, from June 9, 2019, onwards, which made on June 12, 2019. The ceremony was attended by high-level executives, government officials and officers of the Ministry of Labour at the Phra Phut Sutthitham Bophit lawn below the Ministry of Labour’s building. The position was vacant as the former Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark resigned to serve as a senator.
Mr. Suthi Sukosol is the 11th Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Labour. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Political Science (B.Ed.), Political Science (1st Class Honours) from Thammasat University and Master of Arts (M.A.) in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Wisconsin, USA. He passed the training of senior administration, class 41, the diplomatic management course, class 2, the national defense course, class 57, and the Chief Human Resource Officer (CLRO) in the Netherlands.
His former positions include the Director of the Thai Labour Administration Office to foreign countries, the Overseas Employment Administration Division, Department of Employment, the Provincial Khon Kaen Labour Office, The Permanent Secretary of Labour’s Office, Deputy Permanent Secretary, the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s Inspector-General, Director-General to the Department of Skill Development, and currently the Permanent Secretary of Labour. He has received the royal insignia of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand in 2011 and the Order of the White Elephant in 2014.
