On April 14, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that in the past week, cases of people infected with Covid-19 have increased in the country. Many cases are linked to entertainment establishments, pubs, and bars. The NHSO has notified that people at risk of Covid-19 can be screened in all public and private hospitals nationwide to enable timely screening and treatment and block the spread of infection. The Prime Minister is concerned about insured persons amid the pandemic. Therefore, he instructed the Ministry of Labour to work with the Ministry of Interior (Bangkok) and NHSO to increase channels for Covid-19 services, to reduce congestion, and facilitate insured persons in the social security system under Section 33, 39, and 40. On December 27, 2020, at 09.00 hours, Deputy Labour Minister Mr. Niyom Songkaew presided over the closing ceremony of the Ministry of Labour’s 27th class of new officials’ training and awarded insignias. The occasion took place at the Phusak Than Resort Hotel, Nakhon Nayok. The said training aims to promote good government officials, following the Department of Skills Development guidelines. It trains to instill the philosophy of being a good government official and to develop a working network. The program focuses on learning from both expert speakers’ experiences and studying hands-on practices, in and out of the classroom. The training schedule is between December 17 – 27, 2020, for a total of 9 days.
