วันที่ 12 กันยายน 2566 นายประทีป ทรงลำยอง รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน พร้อมด้วย นางดรุณี นิธิทวีกุล ผู้ตรวจราชการกระทรวงแรงงาน นางต้องใจ สุทัศน์ ณ อยุธยา ผู้ตรวจราชการกระทรวงแรงงาน และคณะ เยี่ยมพบปะให้กำลังใจพร้อมมอบชุดอาหารแห้งให้กับคนงานไทยที่มาเก็บผลไม้ป่าที่แคมป์คนงาน พร้อมหารือร่วมกับผู้รับซื้อผลไม้ป่าและบริษัทนายจ้างในประเทศไทยซึ่งพาคนงานมาทำงานเก็บผลไม้ในสวีเดน เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล รับฟังสภาพปัญหา และข้อเสนอแนะเกี่ยวกับการดูแลความเป็นอยู่ของแรงงานไทยที่มาเก็บผลไม้ป่าในสวีเดน ณ แคมป์คนงานของบริษัท Pharmeko Sweden AB ที่รับคนงานไทยไปทำงานเก็บผลไม้ป่าในสวีเดน โดยมี Mr.Stefano บริษัท Pharmeko Sweden AB ผู้รับซื้อผลไม้ป่า และคุณสมพร บริษัทนายจ้างในประเทศไทยซึ่งพาคนงานมาทำงานเก็บผลไม้ในสวีเดน ให้การต้อนรับและนำเยี่ยมชม ซึ่งบริษัทแห่งนี้ได้มีการจ้างแรงงานไทยมาเก็บผลไม้ป่าในสวีเดนจำนวนเกือบ 200 คน และมีระบบการดูแลคุ้มครองแรงงาน อาทิ ที่พัก อาหาร รถรับส่ง และสวัสดิการอื่นๆ เป็นอย่างดี
นายประทีป กล่าวว่า ในวันนี้ผมพร้อมด้วยผู้บริหารและเจ้าหน้าที่กระทรวงแรงงานได้เดินทางมาเยี่ยมพบปะให้กำลังใจกับทุกท่านที่มาทำงานในต่างประเทศ เนื่องจากแต่ละท่านเป็นเสาหลักของครอบครัวตั้งใจมาทำงานหาเงินส่งกลับเลี้ยงครอบครัวที่ประเทศไทย ซึ่งแต่ละปีมีรายได้ส่งกลับเพื่อพัฒนาประเทศเป็นจำนวนมาก ในวันนี้ผมและคณะได้เดินทางมาเยี่ยมแรงงานไทยซึ่งส่วนใหญ่มาเก็บผลไม้ป่าในประเทศสวีเดน เพื่อต้องการพบปะพูดคุยสอบถามสารทุกข์สุขดิบ เกี่ยวกับความเป็นอยู่ เนื่องจากแรงงานไทยเหล่านี้ต้องจากบ้านมาทำงานในต่างแดน จึงต้องได้รับการดูแลเพื่อให้สามารถเข้าถึงสิทธิสวัสดิการและความคุ้มครองตามกฎหมาย
นายประทีป ยังกล่าวอีกว่า จากการพูดคุยและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลระหว่างกันกับนายจ้างบริษัท Pharmeko Sweden AB ที่รับคนงานไทยไปทำงานเก็บผลไม้ป่าในสวีเดน นายจ้างได้ชื่นชมแรงงานไทยว่าเป็นแรงงานที่มีระเบียบวินัย ขยันทำงาน และซื่อสัตย์ ซึ่งต้องยอมรับว่าแรงงานไทยที่มาเก็บผลไม้ป่าเป็นที่ต้องการของนายจ้างในสวีเดน เนื่องจากคนไทยมีพื้นฐานทักษะฝีมือมีความเชี่ยวชาญในเรื่องการเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิตทางการเกษตร เมื่อว่างเว้นจากฤดูกาลเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิตทางการเกษตรในประเทศไทย ก็เข้ามาทำงาน หาเงิน โดยการเก็บผลไม้ป่าตามฤดูกาล จึงถือเป็นโอกาสอันดีที่การหารือในครั้งนี้จะช่วยให้คนไทยได้มาทำงานในสวีเดนมากขึ้น ซึ่งบริษัทได้มีระบบการดูแลคนงานที่ดี จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อแรงงานไทยที่ได้รับการดูแลจากนายจ้างเป็นอย่างดี
สำหรับสถานการณ์คนงานไทยเดินทางไปเก็บผลไม้ป่าในสวีเดน ฤดูกาลปี 2023 พบว่า บริษัทนายจ้างในประเทศไทยที่ยื่นขออนุญาตพาคนงานไปทำงานเก็บผลไม้ในประเทศสวีเดน จำนวน 12 บริษัท คนงานจำนวน 5,331 คน อย่างไรก็ตามผลผลิตผลไม้ป่าขึ้นอยู่กับสภาพภูมิอากาศในแต่ละปี ประกอบกับการเก็บผลไม้ป่าต้องขึ้นอยู่กับทักษะความเชี่ยวชาญและประสบการณ์ของแรงงานแต่ละคน ทำให้รายได้ของแรงงานมีความไม่แน่นอนและแตกต่างกัน
On September 12, 2023, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, the Ministry of Labour’s Deputy Chief Inspector-General, Mrs. Darunee Nithithaweekul, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mrs. Tongjai Suthat Na Ayutthaya, and delegation, paid a visit to encourage and provide dry food packages to Thai wild fruit collectors at the workers camp. They also engaged in discussions with buyers of wild fruit and employers in Thailand who send workers to work in Sweden to pick fruit. They exchanged information, listened to the problem, and made suggestions regarding the well-being of Thai wild fruit pickers in Sweden. The occasion took place at the worker camp of Pharmeko Sweden AB. The company employs Thai workers to collect wild fruits in Sweden. Mr.Stefano from Pharmeko Sweden AB, a buyer of wild fruit, and Khun Somporn from the employer company in Thailand that sends workers to work in fruit picking in Sweden welcomed the delegation. This company has hired nearly 200 Thai workers to pick wild fruit in Sweden. It has a quality labour protection system for accommodation, food, transportation, and other benefits.
Mr. Prateep said that he and executives and officials from the Ministry of Labour paid a visit to meet and encourage everyone working abroad. Each worker is a pillar to their family, intending to work and earn money to support their family in Thailand. Each year, a large amount of income is sent back to develop the country. Today, his team visited the Thai workers, mostly wild fruit collectors in Sweden. He wanted to meet and talk to the workers about their living situation and well-being. This is because these Thai workers must leave their homes to work abroad. Therefore, they must be cared for to access welfare rights and legal protection.
Mr. Prateep said that from talking and exchanging information with the employer, Pharmeko Sweden AB, who hired Thai workers to collect wild fruits in Sweden, the employer praised Thai workers for being disciplined, diligent, and honest. They said that Thai workers who come to pick wild fruits are in high demand among employers in Sweden. This is because Thai people have basic skills and expertise in harvesting agricultural products when they have time off from the agricultural harvesting season in Thailand. They go to work and earn money by picking wild seasonal fruits. Therefore, it is considered a good opportunity for this discussion to help more Thai people come to work in Sweden. The company has a good system for taking care of workers, which will benefit Thai workers who are well cared for by their employers.
As for the situation of Thai workers traveling to pick wild fruit in Sweden in the 2023 season, it was found that 12 companies in Thailand applied for permission to send workers to pick fruit in Sweden, totaling 5,331 workers. However, wild fruit production depends on the weather conditions each year. Moreover, collecting wild fruits depends on the skills, expertise, and experience of each worker, which causes the income of workers to be uncertain and different.
