วันที่ 19 พฤศจิกายน 2566 เวลา 10.00 น. พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อม พระราชทานผ้ากระกฐินให้กระทรวงแรงงาน นำไปถวายพระภิกษุสงฆ์จำพรรษากาลถ้วนไตรมาส โดยมี นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานในพิธีถวายผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานของกระทรวงแรงงาน ประจำปี 2566 ณ วัดบางพระ วรวิหาร พระอารามหลวง ตำบลบางพระ อำเภอศรีราชา จังหวัดชลบุรี เพื่อถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว อีกทั้งเป็นการสนองสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ในการทำนุบำรุงและส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนา
ในการนี้มี นายสิรภพ ดวงสอดศรี ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงแรงงาน นายธนัสถ์ ทวีเกื้อกูลกิจ ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน นายอารี ไกรนรา เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน นายภุชงภ์ วรศรี ประจำสำนักเลขาธิการนายกรัฐมนตรี ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ประจำกระทรวงแรงงาน นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน นายวรรณรัตน์ ศรีสุขใส รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน นายเดชา พฤกษ์พัฒนรักษ์ รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหารระดับสูงกระทรวงแรงงาน หน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงานจังหวัดชลบุรี หัวหน้าส่วนราชการกระทรวงแรงงานในจังหวัดใกล้เคียง และประชาชนชาวจังหวัดชลบุรี เข้าร่วมงานกว่า 10,000 คน ทั้งนี้ ได้มีผู้มีจิตกุศลร่วมถวายจตุปัจจัย บำรุงและบูรณะพระอาราม ทำบุญกฐินพระราชทาน ประจำปี 2566 รวมเป็นเงินจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 3,195,295 บาท พร้อมกันนี้รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ได้มอบทุนการศึกษาให้กับผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนในอุปถัมภ์จำนวน 2 แห่ง นอกจากนี้ ภายในงานยังมีการเปิดโรงทานให้ประชาชนที่มาร่วมทำบุญกฐินได้รับประทานอาหารร่วมกันอีกด้วย
สำหรับวัดบางพระ วรวิหาร พระอารามหลวง ตำบลบางพระ อำเภอศรีราชา จังหวัดชลบุรี วัดบางพระวรวิหาร เป็นพระอารามหลวงชั้นตรีชนิดวรวิหาร สังกัดคณะสงฆ์มหานิกาย วัดบางพระตั้งเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2440 แต่สันนิษฐานว่าคงสร้างมาแต่สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาเป็นราชธานี หลักฐานทางโบราณคดีที่สำคัญ ได้แก่ พระเจดีย์ และ หอสวดมนต์ ได้รับพระราชทานวิสุงคามสีมาครั้งหลังสุด เมื่อวันที่ 2 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2507 ปัจจุบันมีโรงเรียนพระปริยัติธรรมแผนกธรรมเปิดสอน การก่อสร้างพระอุโบสถหลังใหม่ในเดือนพฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2507 ตามแบบของกรมศิลปากร แล้วเสร็จเมื่อเดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2510 ปัจจุบันมีพระธรรมวชิราลังการ เจ้าคณะจังหวัดชลบุรี เป็นเจ้าอาวาส
ทั้งนี้ กฐินพระราชทาน เป็นกฐินที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว พระราชทานผ้าของหลวงแก่ผู้กราบบังคมทูล ขอพระราชทานเพื่อไปถวายยังวัดหลวงต่างๆ นอกจากวัดสำคัญที่ทรงกำหนดไว้ว่าจะเสด็จพระราชดำเนินด้วยพระองค์เอง หรือจะทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้พระบรมวงศานุวงศ์ หรือองคมนตรี หรือผู้ที่ทรงเห็นสมควรเป็นผู้แทนพระองค์ไปถวาย จึงเปิดโอกาสให้กระทรวง ทบวง กรมต่างๆ ตลอดจนคณะบุคคลหรือบุคลากรที่สมควรรับพระราชทานผ้ากฐินไปถวายได้ โดยกระทรวงแรงงานได้ดำเนินการอย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นประจำทุกปี เนื่องจากเป็นประเพณีที่พุทธศาสนิกชน ได้ยึดถือปฏิบัติสืบต่อกันมาเป็นเวลาช้านาน เพื่อเป็นการอุปถัมภ์พระสงฆ์ที่จำพรรษาครบถ้วนไตรมาสให้ได้รับอานิสงส์ตามพระวินัย และเป็นทุนในการบูรณปฏิสังขรณ์พระอาราม โดยเป็นการรวมพลังแห่งความสามัคคี ทั้งทางกาย วาจา และจิตใจในการสร้างบุญกุศลสร้างความสุขของการอยู่ร่วมกันในสังคม รวมทั้งเป็นการจรรโลงและส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนาให้มั่นคงดำรงอยู่เจริญวัฒนาสถาพรสืบไป
On November 19, 2023, at 10.00 hours, His Majesty the King graciously gave Krathin robes to the Ministry of Labour to offer to monks in the last quarter of the Buddhist Lent. The Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, presided over the Ministry of Labour’s Royal Kathin Robe offering ceremony for 2023 at Wat Bang Phra Worawihan, Phra Aram Luang, Bang Phra Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, to present as a royal merit to His Majesty the King and a response to the monarchy in preserving and promoting Buddhism.
On this occasion, the Assistant to the Labour Minister, Mr. Siraphop Duangsodsri, the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mr. Thanat Thaweekueakulkit, the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Aree Krainara, from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat’s Office, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Phuchong Worasri, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasatian, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Decha Pruekphathanarak, executives from the Ministry of Labour and subordinate agencies in Chonburi, heads of government agencies of the Ministry of Labour in nearby provinces and the people of Chonburi Province, totaling over 10,000 people attended the event. Some charitable people donated to maintain and restore the monastery, making merit by offering the Royal Kathin for 2023, totaling 3,195,295 Baht. At the same time, the Labour Minister presented scholarships to the directors of two sponsored schools. In addition, there was an almshouse for the people who joined the Kathin merit-making ceremony to eat together.
Wat Bang Phra Worawihan, Phra Aram Luang, Bang Phra Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, is a royal monastery of the third class in the Worawihan type, under the Maha Nikaya Sangha. Wat Bang Phra was established in 1897, but it is assumed it was built when Ayutthaya was the capital city. Important archaeological evidence includes the pagoda and the prayer hall. It was last bestowed with Wisungkhamsima on November 2, 1964. There is a Phrapariyattidhamma School, Dhamma Department, open for teaching. The new temple was constructed in November 1964, according to the Fine Arts Department’s design. It was completed in December 1967. There is Phra Dhamma Vajiralangkarn, Abbot of Chonburi Province, as the abbot.
The Royal Kathin is Kathin that His Majesty the King bestowed as a royal gift to offer to various royal temples, in addition to the important temples that he had determined to visit on his own or would graciously assign a royal family member, the privy councilor or a person deemed appropriate to represent him. Therefore, it gives ministries, bureaus, departments, and groups of people or personnel opportunities to offer the Royal Kathin robes. The Ministry of Labour has continued to participate every year. It is a tradition that Buddhists have adhered to for a long time to support monks who have completed a quarter of Buddhist Lent, to receive merit, and to be funding for the restoration of the monastery. It combines the power of physical, verbal, and mental unity to create merit and happiness in living together in society and promote stability and prosperity in Buddhism.
