วันที่ 22 ตุลาคม 2566 นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน มอบหมายให้ นายสมาสภ์ ปัทมะสุคนธ์ ผู้ตรวจราชการกระทรวงแรงงาน ต้อนรับและดูแลอำนวยความสะดวกแรงงานไทยที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากความไม่สงบในอิสราเอลและแจ้งความประสงค์เดินทางกลับถึงประเทศไทย ณ ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ โดยมี ผู้บริหารระดับสูงจากหน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงาน และหน่วยงานราชการต่างๆ ร่วมอำนวยความสะดวกและแนะนำสิทธิในการช่วยเหลือเยียวยา เช่น กระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ ดูแลกรณีแรงงานไม่มีเงินค่าเดินทางกลับภูมิลำเนา กระทรวงยุติธรรม ให้คำแนะนำการพักชำระหนี้ การไกล่เกลี่ยหนี้ ในส่วนของเจ้าหน้าที่จากกระทรวงแรงงานนั้น กรมการจัดหางานได้ตั้งโต๊ะให้คำแนะนำการยื่นคำร้องขอรับสิทธิประโยชน์จากกองทุนเพื่อช่วยเหลือคนหางานไปทำงานต่างประเทศ โดยทันทีที่มาถึงสนามบินสุวรรณภูมิ กระทรวงแรงงานได้จัดเจ้าหน้าที่ตั้งโต๊ะให้บริการคำแนะนำเกี่ยวกับการยื่นคำร้องขอรับสิทธิประโยชน์จากกองทุนเพื่อช่วยเหลือแรงงานไทยไปทำงานต่างประเทศ เพื่อให้แรงงานไทยได้รับเงินสิทธิประโยชน์ดังกล่าวโดยเร็วที่สุด ณ บริเวณชั้น 2 ประตู 10 อาคารผู้โดยสารขาเข้าระหว่างประเทศ ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ
นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า ท่านพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ได้มีความห่วงใยแรงงานไทยทุกคนที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากเหตุความไม่สงบในอิสราเอลในครั้งนี้และท่านได้ติดตามสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ชิดมาโดยตลอด ในวันนี้ผมจึงได้มอบหมายให้ นายสมาสภ์ ปัทมะสุคนธ์ ผู้ตรวจราชการกระทรวงแรงงาน พร้อมคณะ ต้อนรับและดูแลอำนวยความสะดวกแรงงานไทยที่เดินทางกลับถึงสนามบินสุวรรณภูมิ จำนวน 2 เที่ยวบิน คือ เที่ยวบินที่ LY 081 จำนวน 61 คน และเที่ยวบินที่ LY 085 จำนวน 306 คน ณ ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ
นายไพโรจน์ กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า สำหรับความคืบหน้าสถานการณ์การให้ความช่วยเหลือพี่น้องแรงงานไทยในประเทศอิสราเอล ซึ่งจากรายงานของฝ่ายแรงงานประจำสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเทลอาวีฟ พบว่า ล่าสุดมีแรงงานไทยได้ลงทะเบียนกรอกแบบฟอร์มแจ้งความประสงค์เดินทางกลับประเทศไทยกับทางสถานทูตฯ แล้ว 8,475 คน ไม่ประสงค์กลับ 123 คน ถูกจับไปเป็นตัวประกัน 19 ราย บาดเจ็บ 18 ราย ยังไม่สามารถระบุชื่อได้ 1 ราย เสียชีวิต 31 ราย นำศพกลับไทยแล้ว 8 ราย โดยขณะนี้มีแรงงานไทยที่เดินทางกลับมาแล้ว เป็นจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 3,329 คน
ดังนั้น จึงขอให้แรงงานไทยรวมทั้งญาติของแรงงานไทยเชื่อมั่นว่า เราจะสามารถพาทุกคนออกมาให้ได้เร็วและปลอดภัยที่สุด ตามที่ท่านพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ให้ความสำคัญกับการให้ความช่วยเหลือแรงงานไทย และให้เป็นภารกิจที่เร่งด่วนที่ต้องติดตามอย่างใกล้ชิดและให้ความสำคัญกับเรื่องนี้สูงสุด
On October 22, 2023, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasatian, assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, welcomed Thai workers affected by the unrest in Israel, who reported their intention to return to Thailand. The occasion took place at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Samut Prakan Province. Executives from agencies under the Ministry of Labour and various government agencies facilitated and advised the rights to relief and remedies, such as the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, to take care of cases where workers do not have money to travel back to their hometowns. The Ministry of Justice has joined to advise debt repayment and mediation. As for the Ministry of Labour, the Department of Employment has set up a table to advise on the application for benefits from the fund to help job seekers working abroad immediately after arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The Ministry of Labour has arranged for staff to advise on applying for benefits from the fund to help Thai workers working abroad so that they receive the said benefits as soon as possible. The support is on the 2nd floor, Gate 10, International Arrivals Building, Suvarnabhumi Airport, Samut Prakan Province.
The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasatian, said that the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, is concerned about all Thai workers affected by the unrest in Israel and has been following the situation closely. Today, he assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, and team to welcome and support Thai workers returning to Thailand on two flights, namely flight LY 081 with 61 people, and on LY 085 with 306 people, at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Samut Prakan Province.
Mr. Phairoj added that the report from the Minister Counselor for Labour at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv found that 8,475 Thai workers have filled out a travel request form with the Embassy requesting to return to Thailand. At the same time, 123 people have notified their intention not to return. Nineteen Thai workers were taken hostage, 18 were injured, one unnamed, and 31 were dead, whereby eight bodies have been transported to Thailand. Currently, a total of 3,329 Thai workers have returned to Thailand.
I would like to ask Thai workers and relatives of Thai workers to be confident that we will be able to get everyone out as quickly and safely as possible. The Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, gives importance to helping Thai workers, and it is an urgent mission that must be closely followed and given the utmost importance.
