วันที่ 1 มีนาคม 2566 เวลา 13.30 น. นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน มอบหมายให้ นายประทีป ทรงลำยอง อธิบดีกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน รักษาราชการแทน รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมประชุมคณะกรรมการนโยบายเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (กพอ.) ครั้งที่ 1/2566 โดยมี พลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม เป็นประธานการประชุม ณ ตึกภักดีบดินทร์ ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
ทั้งนี้ ที่ประชุมได้รายงานความก้าวหน้าการดำเนินงานโครงการ EEC การพัฒนาพื้นที่เก็บกักน้ำทดแทนบึงเสือดำในพื้นที่เพื่อสนับสนุนบริการรถไฟของโครงการรถไฟความเร็วสูงเชื่อมสามสนามบิน ความคืบหน้าโครงการทางวิ่งและทางขับที่ 2 โครงการพัฒนาสนามบินอู่ตะเภาและเมืองการบินภาคตะวันออก นอกจากนี้ ยังได้พิจารณาเรื่องของการแก้ไขปัญหาโครงการพัฒนาสนามบินอู่ตะเภาฯ การแก้ไขปัญหาโครงการรถไฟความเร็วสูงเชื่อมสามสนามบิน และการรับรองงบการเงินของ สกพอ. ประจำปีงบประมาณ 2565

On March 1, 2023, at 13.30 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Department of Skill Development’s Director-General and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, to attend the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee Meeting No. 1/2023. The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, who presided over the meeting at the Phakdi Bodin Building, Government Houses.
The meeting reported on the progress of the EEC project to develop a water storage area to replace the “Bueng Suea Dam” in the area to support the train service of the high-speed rail linking three airports. It also reported the progress of the second runway and taxiway project under the U-Tapao Airport Development Project and Eastern Aviation City, solving challenges of the high-speed rail project connecting three airports, and certification of financial statements of the EEC Office for the 2022 fiscal year.
