ด้วยในวันที่ 27 เมษายน 2563 สำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย (กพท.) อาศัยอำนาจตามความในมาตรา 27 และมาตรา 28 แห่งพระราชบัญญัติการเดินอากาศ พ.ศ. 2497 ได้มีคำสั่งขยายระยะเวลาห้ามอากาศยานขนส่งคนโดยสารทำการบินเข้ามายังท่าอากาศยานในประเทศไทยเป็นการชั่วคราวตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 พฤษภาคม 2563 เวลา 00.01 น. จนถึงวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2563 เวลา 23.59 น. (เวลาประเทศไทย) ยกเว้นอากาศยานบางประเภท
สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองฮ่องกง จึงขอประกาศแจ้งคนไทยในเขตบริหารพิเศษฮ่องกง และเขตบริหารพิเศษมาเก๊า สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน ดังนี้
1. ขอให้คนไทยผู้ที่จะเดินทางกลับถึงประเทศไทยในวันที่ 1 – 31 พ.ค. 2563 ตรวจสอบเที่ยวบินของท่านกับสายการบิน
2. ขอเรียนย้ำว่า ผู้โดยสารทุกคนที่เดินทางกลับจากต่างประเทศเมื่อเดินทางถึงประเทศไทยแล้วจะต้องเข้ากักกันเฝ้าระวังโรค (State quarantine) ในทุกกรณีตามแนวทางและในพื้นที่ที่รัฐบาลกำหนด

Extension of temporary ban on all international flights to Thailand
1. According to the latest Notification of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, the ban on international passenger flights to Thailand will be extended from 1 May 2020, 00.01 hrs. to 31 May 2020, 23.59 hrs. (Thailand local time). All flight permits granted for such period will be canceled.
2. The ban does not apply to state or military aircraft, emergency landing, technical landing without disembarkation, humanitarian, medical or relief flights, repatriation flights and cargo flights.
3. The passengers on board the aircraft leaving the airport of departure before the entry into force of the Notification will subject to 14 day quarantine under the contiguous disease law and the regulation under the Emergency Decree on State of Emergency
