วันที่ 13 มีนาคม 2566 นายบุญชอบ สุทธมนัสวงษ์ ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน ลงพื้นที่จังหวัดยะลา เยี่ยมชมโครงการทุเรียนคุณภาพ ของมูลนิธิปิดทองหลังพระ ซึ่งเป็นการปฏิบัติภารกิจกับองค์การแรงงานระหว่างประเทศ (ILO) ภายใต้โครงการเยาวชนคนสร้างอนาคต – การส่งเสริมความสามารถในการมีงานทำของเยาวชน ระยะที่ 2 โดยมี นายสมาสภ์ ปัทมะสุคนธ์ ผู้ตรวจราชการกระทรวงแรงงานนายแกร์ม บักเลย์ ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานแรงงานระหว่างประเทศประจำประเทศไทย กัมพูชา และสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว พร้อมด้วย และผู้บริหารกระทรวงแรงงาน และชาวบ้านในพื้นที่ เข้าร่วมด้วย เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบในการพัฒนาเยาวชน ชุมชนให้มีองค์ความรู้ในการต่อยอดสวนทุเรียน การจัดการน้ำ การศึกษาการปลูกทุเรียน
สำหรับการดำเนินโครงการทุเรียนคุณภาพฯ มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อน้อมนำแนวพระราชดำริที่เกี่ยวข้อง มาเป็นหลักในการพัฒนาผลผลิตทุเรียนให้มีคุณภาพ เพิ่มขีดความสามารถการแข่งขันทางการตลาดของทุเรียนจังหวัดชายชายแดนภาคใต้สร้างงาน สร้างอาชีพ ให้ประชาชนสามารถพึ่งพาตนเองได้ เพื่อนำไปสู่แก้ไขปัญหาความยากจนและลดเงื่อนไขความมั่นคงในพื้นที่จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ รวมทั้งเพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบบริหารจัดการวิสาหกิจชุมชน เครือข่ายวิสาหกิจชุมชน เกษตรแปลงใหญ่ สมัยใหม่มุ่งสู่ความเป็นเลิศ (Excellent) โดยนำหลักการบริหารจัดการเชิงธุรกิจมาปรับใช้ให้เหมาะสมกับสภาพภูมิสังคม ตลอดจนขยายผลการพัฒนาประยุกต์แนวพระราชดำริ ในการผลิตสินค้าเกษตรให้มีคุณภาพไปสู่เกษตรกรรายอื่นๆ ที่เป็นสมาชิกกลุ่มแปลงใหญ่ หรือ วิสาหกิจชุมชนในพื้นที่จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้อย่างกว้างขวางอีกด้วย

On March 13, 2023, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, visited Yala to see the Quality Durian Project by the Pid Thong Laung Phra Foundation. This is a project with the International Labour Organization (ILO) under the Future Builders Youth Program to Promote The Employability of Youths Phase 2. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, the Director of the International Labour Office for Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos, Mr. Graeme Buckley, the Ministry of Labour’s executives and community members in the area, also joined the occasion. The visit aims to study youth development patterns and inform communities about expanding durian orchards, water management, and durian cultivation.
The Quality Durian Project induces related royal initiatives as the principle in developing quality durian products. It aims to enhance the market competitiveness of durian in southern border provinces to create jobs and careers for people to be self-reliant, alleviate poverty problems, and reduce security conditions in the southern border provinces. It also aims to develop a community enterprise management model and community enterprise networks and develop large and modern farms towards excellence by applying business management principles to adapt and suit the social landscape. It also aims to expand the development to apply royal initiatives in producing quality agricultural products to other farmers that are a member of a big plot group or community enterprise in the southern border provinces.
