วันที่ 4 เมษายน 2567 เวลา 09.30 น. นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานการประชุมเพื่อติดตามสถานการณ์ความเคลื่อนไหวกรณีเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวในไต้หวัน โดยมี นายสมาสภ์ ปัทมะสุคนธ์ ผู้ตรวจราชการกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมประชุม และ นางสาวประภาวดี แก้วศิริพงษ์ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา (ฝ่ายแรงงาน)สำนักงานแรงงาน ณ กรุงมะนิลา (ส่วนที่ 2) กรุงไทเป พร้อมด้วย นายณัฐชยวัศ สงวนไชยกฤษณ์ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา (ฝ่ายแรงงาน) สำนักงานแรงงาน ณ กรุงมะนิลา (ส่วนที่ 2) สาขาเมืองเกาสง นางสาวสดุดี กิตติสุวรรณ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา (ฝ่ายแรงงาน) สำนักงานแรงงานในประเทศญี่ปุ่น ร่วมประชุมผ่าน VDO Conference ณ ห้องประชุมปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน ชั้น 7 อาคารกระทรวงแรงงาน
นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า จากเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวที่เกิดขึ้นในไต้หวันนั้น กระทรวงแรงงานไม่ได้นิ่งนอนใจ และได้เฝ้าติดตามสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ชิด โดยในวันนี้ ผมได้ประชุมติดตามสถานการณ์เร่งด่วนกับอัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา (ฝ่ายแรงงาน) ที่ประจำการอยู่ที่ไต้หวัน และประเทศญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งความคืบหน้าล่าสุด ได้รับรายงานว่า เหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวซึ่งอยู่ทางภาคเหนือ มีผู้เสียชีวิตแล้ว 9 ราย มีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บ 1,011 ราย นอกจากนี้ ยังมีผู้ที่รอการช่วยเหลือจากทางการไต้หวันอีก 143 ราย ในจำนวนนี้ยังไม่มีแรงงานไทยได้รับบาดเจ็บหรือเสียชีวิตจากเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว โดยสถานการณ์ขณะนี้ สำนักงานแรงงาน ณ กรุงไทเปและเกาสง ได้ประชาสัมพันธ์ข้อมูลข่าวสาร ทางสื่อออนไลน์ โดยเฉพาะ Facebook และในกลุ่ม Line เครือข่ายล่ามทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาจีน รวมถึงสถานประกอบการต่างๆ ถึงวิธีการปฏิบัติตนให้แรงงานไทยรับทราบ พร้อมช่องทางการติดต่อกับหน่วยงานต่างๆ เพื่อไม่ให้แรงงานไทยตื่นตระหนกกับเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว เนื่องจากทางการไต้หวันได้ประกาศว่า ในอีก 3 วัน จะมีโอกาสเกิดแผ่นดินไหวขึ้นอีกครั้ง ในระดับความรุนแรงที่ใกล้เคียงกันกับครั้งนี้
“กระทรวงแรงงานยืนยันว่า ขณะนี้แรงงานไทยทุกคนปลอดภัยดี ยังไม่มีรายงานแรงงานไทยได้รับผลกระทบจากเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไทยในครั้งนี้ โดยเฉพาะเมืองที่ได้รับผลกระทบรุนแรง อาคารถล่ม คือ ฮวาเหลียน ที่มีแรงงานไทยทำงานอยู่ 355 คน และ เมืองนิวไทเป มีแรงงานไทยทำงานอยู่ในสถานประกอบการ 7,637 คน ในส่วนของผู้ที่ติดค้างอยู่ในตึกที่พังถล่มลงมานั้น พบว่ายังไม่มีคนไทย อย่างไรก็ดี ขอให้ญาติพี่น้องของแรงงานไทยที่ไปทำงานในไต้หวันทุกคน คลายกังวล เนื่องจากกระทรวงแรงงานได้มีการประสานข้อมูลกันอยู่ตลอด ระหว่าง ทางการไต้หวัน สำนักงานแรงงาน ณ กรุงไทเปและเกาสง สำนักงานการค้าและเศรษฐกิจไทยของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ รวมถึงเครือข่ายล่าม และสถานประกอบการ ในส่วนของประเทศไทย ญาติของแรงงานไทยที่ทำงานอยู่ในไต้หวัน สามารถติดต่อสอบถามได้ที่ สายด่วนกระทรวงแรงงาน 1506 กด 2 กรมการจัดหางาน เพื่อติดตามสถานการณ์ได้เช่นกัน” นายไพโรจน์ กล่าว
นายไพโรจน์ กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า ท่านพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ได้ฝากความห่วงใยถึงพี่น้องแรงงานไทยที่ทำงานอยูในไต้หวันทุกคน และขอให้ปฏิบัติตามที่ทางการกำหนดอย่างเคร่งครัด และอยู่ในสถานที่ที่ปลอดภัย ในส่วนของการจัดส่งแรงงานไทยไปทำงานที่ไต้หวันนั้น ขณะนี้ยังไม่ได้รับผลกระทบ และยังไม่มีการระงับการเดินทาง ส่วนสถานการณ์ที่ประเทศญี่ปุ่นนั้น เหตุการณ์ทั่วไปยังคงปกติ เนื่องจากญี่ปุ่นไม่ได้เป็นจุดศูนย์กลางของการเกิดเหตุแผ่นดินไหวในครั้งนี้
On April 4, 2024, at 09.30 hours, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, chaired a meeting to follow up on the situation regarding the earthquake in Taiwan. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, joined the meeting. The Minister Counselor (on Labour) in the Manila Labour Office (part 2) in Taipei, Mrs. Prapawadee Kaewsiripong, the Minister Counselor (on Labour) from the Manila Labour Office (part 2) in Kaohsiung, Mr. Natchayawat Sanguanchaiyakrit, and the Minister Counselor (on Labour) in Japan, Ms. Sadud Kittisuwan, joined the meeting via Video Conference at the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s meeting room, 7th floor, Ministry of Labour.
The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, said that following the earthquake that happened in Taiwan, the Ministry of Labour has been closely monitoring the situation. Today, he had an urgent meeting to follow up on the situation with the Minister Counselors (on Labour) stationed in Taiwan and Japan. The latest report said that the earthquake happened in the northern region. Nine people have died, and 1,011 people have been injured. In addition, 143 people are waiting for help from the Taiwanese authorities. Of these, no Thai workers were injured or killed in the incident. The Labour Offices in Taipei and Kaohsiung have publicized information online, especially through Facebook and in the Line group, to a network of interpreters in both Thai and Chinese, including various companies, on how to behave so that Thai workers are informed and know which channels to contact. This will ensure that Thai workers are not alarmed by such events. The Taiwanese authorities have announced that in the next three days, there will be a chance of an earthquake occurring again at a similar level of intensity.
“The Ministry of Labour affirms that all Thai workers are currently safe. There are no reports of Thai workers being affected by this event, particularly in hard-hit cities where buildings collapsed were Hualien, where 355 Thai workers work, and New Taipei City, where 7,637 Thai workers work. As for those stranded in collapsed buildings, no Thai people were found. We would like to ask that all relatives of Thai workers working in Taiwan be relieved of their worries. The Ministry of Labour is constantly coordinating between the Taiwanese authorities, the Labour Offices in Taipei and Kaohsiung, the Thai Trade and Economic Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a network of interpreters and establishments. Relatives of Thai workers working in Taiwan who would like to monitor the situation can contact and the Ministry of Labour’s hotline at 1506, press 2 for the Department of Employment,” said Mr. Pairoj.
Mr. Pairoj continued that the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, expressed his concern to all Thai workers working in Taiwan and asked that they strictly comply with the official regulations and remain in a safe place. Thai workers departing to work in Taiwan are currently not affected. There has been no suspension of travel. As for the situation in Japan, general events remain normal as Japan is not the epicenter of this earthquake.
