วันที่ 24 มีนาคม 2566 เวลา 13.30 น. นายสุรชัย ชัยตระกูลทอง ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงแรงงาน ให้การต้อนรับ นายฟาน จี๊ ทัญ (Mr. Phan Chi Thanh) เอกอัครราชทูตวิสามัญผู้มีอำนาจเต็ม แห่งสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมเวียดนามประจำประเทศไทย และคณะ เข้าพบหารือข้อราชการ การปรับปรุงแก้ไขร่างบันทึกความเข้าใจเพื่อความร่วมมือด้านแรงงาน (MOU) และร่างบันทึกข้อตกลงว่าด้วยการจ้างแรงงาน (Agreement) ระหว่างไทย – เวียดนาม โดยมี นายมานิตย์ พรหมการีย์กุล ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน นายสุเทพ ชิตยวงษ์ เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน นายสุทธิ สุโกศล ประจาสานักเลขาธิการนายกรัฐมนตรี ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ประจากระทรวงแรงงาน และผู้บริหารระดับสูงกระทรวงแรงงาน เข้าร่วมในครั้งนี้ด้วย ณ ห้องจัตุมงคล ชั้น 6 อาคารกระทรวงแรงงาน
นายสุรชัย กล่าวว่า ในโอกาสที่ท่านทูตฯ และคณะ ได้มาเยือนกระทรวงแรงงานในวันนี้ ผมและคณะผู้บริหารกระทรวงแรงงานมีความยินดีอย่างยิ่งที่ได้มีโอกาสร่วมพูดคุยในประเด็นต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องด้านแรงงาน รวมถึงการดำเนินการใดๆ เพื่อให้สอดคล้องตามแผนปฏิบัติการฯ ซึ่งได้ทราบว่าปัจจุบันไทยและเวียดนามอยู่ระหว่างการหารือร่างเอ็มโอยู และข้อตกลงฉบับใหม่โดยจะมีการขยายขอบเขตสาขาอาชีพที่คนเวียดนามจะสามารถมาทำงานในประเทศไทยได้ โดยกระทรวงแรงงานจะหารือในรายละเอียดของข้อบทต่าง ๆ ภายใต้ ร่างเอ็มโอยู และข้อตกลงกับทางกระทรวงแรงงาน ทุพพลภาพและสวัสดิการสังคมของเวียดนามต่อไป
“กระทรวงแรงงาน ให้ความสำคัญ และพร้อมที่จะสนับสนุนให้เกิดความร่วมมือด้านแรงงานในทุกมิติ เพื่อกระชับความสัมพันธ์ และสร้างเสริมความร่วมมือต่างๆ รวมถึงประสานประโยชน์ร่วมกันด้านแรงงานให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดโดยภาพรวมของทั้งสองฝ่าย ผมหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าจะได้รับการสนับสนุนด้วยดีจากฝ่ายเวียดนามต่อไปในอนาคต” นายสุรชัยฯ กล่าวในท้ายที่สุด

On March 24, 2023, at 13.30 hours, the Assistant to the Labour Minister, Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, welcomed the Ambassador of Vietnam to Thailand, Mr. Phan Chi Thanh, and delegation, to discuss official matters on amendments to the draft Memorandum of Understanding for Labour Cooperation (MOU) and the draft Memorandum of Agreement on Employment between Thailand and Vietnam. The Ministry of Labour’s Advisor, Mr. Manit Promkarikul, the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Suthep Chitvong, Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Suthi Sukosol, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion at the Chatumonkol Meeting Room, 6th Floor, Ministry of Labour.
Mr. Surachai said that on the occasion of the Ambassador and delegation’s visit to the Ministry of Labour today, he and the Ministry of Labour’s executives were honoured to have the chance to discuss different topics on labour, including actions to comply with the action plan. Thailand and Vietnam are currently discussing the draft MOU and the new agreement, which will expand the scope of occupations where Vietnamese people can work in Thailand. The Ministry of Labour will discuss the various provisions under the draft MOU and the agreement with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam.
“The Ministry of Labour emphasizes this issue and is ready to support labour cooperation in all dimensions to strengthen the relationship and foster cooperation. It aims to coordinate mutual benefits in labour for the overall benefit of both parties. I sincerely hope to receive good support from Vietnam in the future,” concluded Mr. Surachai.
