วันที่ 26 ตุลาคม 2566 นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน มอบหมายให้ นายอารี ไกรนรา เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน พร้อมด้วย นายวรรณรัตน์ ศรีสุขใส รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นผู้แทนกระทรวงแรงงานรับศพแรงงานไทยที่เสียชีวิตจากสถานการณ์ความไม่สงบในอิสราเอลอีกจำนวน 7 ราย พร้อมร่วมวางพวงหรีดแสดงความอาลัย โดยมี นายจักรพงษ์ แสงมณี รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และนางออร์นา ซากิฟ เอกอัครราชทูตรัฐอิสราเอลประจำประเทศไทย และผู้บริหารกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมพิธี ณ บริเวณอาคารคลังสินค้า ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ
นายอารี ไกรนรา เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า ในวันนี้ท่านพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ได้มอบหมายให้ผมพร้อมด้วย รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน และผู้ตรวจราชการกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นผู้แทนของกระทรวงแรงงานในการมารับร่างแรงงานไทยที่เสียชีวิตจากเหตุการณ์ความไม่สงบในอิสราเอล ซึ่งสถานเอกอัครราชทูตได้ส่งร่างแรงงานไทยชุดที่สองกลับมาอีกจำนวน 7 รายในวันนี้มาพร้อมกับแรงงานไทย จำนวน 268 คน ด้วยสายการบิน EL AL เที่ยวบินที่ LY 083 ถึงท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิเวลา 10.35 น.พร้อมร่วมวางพวงหรีดของท่านรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงานเพื่อแสดงความอาลัย
นายอารี กล่าวต่อว่า ทายาทของแรงงานไทยที่เสียชีวิต จะได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์จากการเป็นสมาชิกกองทุนเพื่อช่วยเหลือคนหางานไปทำงานในต่างประเทศ กรณีเสียชีวิตในต่างประเทศ จำนวน 40,000 บาท และมีสิทธิได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์ตามกฎหมายประกันสังคมอิสราเอล (National Insurance Institute) ซึ่งในกรณีที่เสียชีวิตนี้ บิดามารดา ภรรยาตามกฎหมายและบุตรของผู้เสียชีวิตทุกคนจะได้รับเงินช่วยเหลือทุกเดือนจนกว่าภรรยาจะแต่งงานใหม่ หรือลูกมีอายุครบ 18 ปี นอกจากนี้ ยังมีสิทธิประโยชน์จากกองทุนประกันสังคม โดยครอบครัวของแรงงานไทยซึ่งเป็นผู้ประกันตนที่เสียชีวิตจากเหตุการณ์ความไม่สงบในอิสราเอลจะได้รับเงินเยียวยาจากสำนักงานประกันสังคมตามมาตราที่แรงงานเป็นสมาชิก โดยหน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงานที่อยู่ในจังหวัดภูมิลำเนาของแรงงานไทยได้ประสานครอบครัวผู้เสียชีวิต เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกร่วมกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เพื่อรับร่างแรงงานทุกรายกลับไปประกอบพิธีทางศาสนาที่ภูมิลำเนาในจังหวัดอุดรธานี หนองคาย ขอนแก่น กำแพงเพชร และเชียงรายแล้ว
“ผมขอแสดงความเสียใจอย่างยิ่งต่อญาติพี่น้องและครอบครัวของพี่น้องแรงงานไทยทั้ง 7 ราย ในนามของท่านพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ขอให้คำมั่นกับญาติของพี่น้องแรงงานไทยว่าเราจะดูแลสิทธิประโยชน์ของทุกท่านให้ได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์พึงได้ตามกฎหมายโดยเร็วที่สุด”นายอารี เลขารัฐมนตรีแรงงาน กล่าวท้ายสุด
On October 26, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, assigned the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Aree Krainara, and the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, to represent the Ministry of Labour in receiving the bodies of seven Thai workers who died from the unrest in Israel, laying wreaths to express their condolences. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jakkapong Sangmanee, the Ambassador of Israel to Thailand, Mrs. Orna Sagiv, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives joined in the ceremony at the warehouse building area, Suvarnabhumi Airport, Samut Prakan Province.
The Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Aree Krainara, said that today, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn assigned him, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, and the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General to represent the Ministry of Labour in receiving the bodies of Thai workers who died from the unrest in Israel. The Embassy sent back the bodies of seven Thai workers today, along with 268 Thai workers, on EL AL Airlines, flight LY 083. They arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 10.35 hours. The representatives participated in laying the wreaths of the Labour Minister to express condolences.
Mr. Aree continued that the dependents of the deceased Thai workers will receive benefits from being a member of the fund to help job seekers working abroad, where in the case of death abroad, the amount is 40,000 Baht. They will also be entitled to benefits, according to the Israeli National Insurance Institute. In the case of death, the father, mother, legal wife, and children of the deceased will all receive monthly assistance until the wife remarries or when the child has reached 18 years of age. In addition, there are benefits from the Social Security Fund. The families of Thai workers who are insured persons who died from the unrest in Israel will receive compensation from the Social Security Office according to the section that the workers are members of. Agencies under the Ministry of Labour in the home provinces of Thai workers have coordinated with the families of the deceased to facilitate cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take the bodies of all workers back to perform religious ceremonies at their hometowns in Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Khon Kaen, Kamphaeng Phet, and Chiang Rai.
“I would like to express my deepest condolences to the relatives and families of the 7 Thai workers. On behalf of the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, I would like to assure the relatives of Thai workers that we will take care of everyone’s benefits so that they receive the benefits they are legally entitled to as soon as possible,” concluded the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Aree Krainara.
