นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เปิดเผยว่า ตามที่กระทรวงแรงงาน ได้มีการสอบถามข้อมูลกับแรงงานไทยที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากความไม่สงบในอิสราเอลเมื่อเดินทางกลับมายังภูมิลำเนาแล้วนั้น พบว่า ขณะนี้มีแรงงานไทยที่เดินทางกลับมาจากเหตุการณ์ความไม่สงบในอิสราเอล และแจ้งความประสงค์ต้องการกลับไปทำงานที่ประเทศอิสราเอลอีก จำนวน 424 คน ไม่ต้องการกลับไปทำงานอีก จำนวน 495 คน ที่เหลืออีก จำนวน 76 คน ยังไม่แน่ใจ จากจำนวนแรงงานไทยที่รับแจ้งทั้งหมด 995 คน
นายพิพัฒน์ กล่าวว่า ผลจากการสอบถามข้อมูลกับแรงงานไทยที่กลับจากเหตุการณ์ความไม่สงบในอิสราเอลถึงความต้องการทำงานในเบื้องต้นในครั้งนี้ เพื่อนำข้อมูลดังกล่าวไปดำเนินการเกี่ยวกับการจัดหางานต่อให้กับแรงงานโดยเร็วที่สุด ซึ่งในขณะนี้มีแรงงานไทยเดินทางกลับมาแล้วกว่า 3,000 คน แต่ยังมีแรงงานไทยหลายรายมีความกังวลเรื่องการทำงาน ทั้งที่มีความประสงค์จะกลับไปทำงานที่อิสราเอล และบางรายประสงค์จะไปทำงานที่ประเทศอื่น และต้องการหางานทำในประเทศด้วยนั้น
“ไม่ว่าแรงงานไทยประสงค์อย่างไร ผมขอให้คลายความกังวล และขอให้แจ้งมาได้ที่กรมการจัดหางาน ที่สำนักงานจัดหางานจังหวัดทุกจังหวัด เราจะได้รวบรวมจำนวนความต้องการแรงงานที่ประสงค์จะเดินทางกลับไปทำงานที่อิสราเอล เพื่อจะได้ดำเนินการต่อไปภายหลังจากภาวะความไม่สงบในอิสราเอลได้สิ้นสุดลงแล้ว รวมถึง การไปทำงานในประเทศอื่นๆ เช่น เกาหลีด้วย ส่วนผู้ที่ต้องการทำงานที่ประเทศไทย เราก็มีตำแหน่งงานว่างจากทั่วประเทศรองรับไว้ให้เช่นกัน นอกจากนี้ หากแรงงานไทย ที่กลับมาจากอิสราเอลและบุคคลในครอบครัวต้องการฝึกทักษะฝีมือ สามารถติดต่อมาได้ที่สถาบันและสำนักงานพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงานที่ตั้งอยู่ทุกจังหวัดทั่วประเทศ เพื่อเข้ารับการฝึกทักษะด้านอาชีพเสริม รองรับในช่วงการเปลี่ยนผ่านงาน จะได้มีอาชีพ มีรายได้ สามารถเลี้ยงครอบครัวได้ต่อไป” นายพิพัฒน์ กล่าว
ด้าน นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า ในส่วนของความคืบหน้าการช่วยเหลือสิทธิประโยชน์จากกองทุนเพื่อช่วยเหลือคนหางานไปทำงานในต่างประเทศนั้น ได้รับรายงานว่า ขณะนี้มีแรงงานยื่นคำร้องขอรับสิทธิประโยชน์จากกองทุนเพื่อช่วยเหลือคนหางานไปทำงานในต่างประเทศ ทั้งในส่วนกลางและส่วนภูมิภาค รวม 819 คน วินิจฉัยสั่งจ่ายไปแล้ว 364 คน คนละ 15,000 บาท คิดเป็นเงินกว่า 5,460,000 บาท โดยแรงงานไทยที่กลับจากอิสราเอล สามารถเขียนคำร้องขอรับเงินสิทธิประโยชน์จากกองทุนเพื่อช่วยเหลือคนหางานไปทำงานในต่างประเทศ ได้ที่สำนักงานจัดหางานจังหวัดที่อยู่ในภูมิลำเนา โดยในเบื้องต้นทุกคน ที่เป็นสมาชิกกองทุนฯ และยังอยู่ในการคุ้มครอง จะได้รับเงิน กรณีประสบปัญหาต้องเดินทางกลับประเทศไทยเนื่องจากภัยสงคราม คนละ 15,000 บาท ซึ่งกระทรวงแรงงานจะรีบดำเนินการเพื่อให้แรงงานไทยทุกคนได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์ดังกล่าวโดยเร็วที่สุด
The Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, spoke about the Ministry of Labour’s inquiry on information from Thai workers affected by the unrest in Israel when they returned to their hometown. Out of 995 Thai workers who returned from the unrest in Israel, 424 people have reported their intentions to travel back to Israel to work, while 495 have expressed that they do not wish to return. Seventy-six people remain unsure.
Mr. Phiphat said that from speaking with Thai workers returning from the unrest in Israel regarding their initial work needs, the information would be used to proceed with the recruitment of workers as soon as possible. Currently, over 3,000 Thai workers have returned. However, many Thai workers are still concerned about their work despite intending to return to work in Israel, and some people wish to work in other countries and want to find work domestically as well.
“No matter what Thai workers wish, I would like everyone to be relieved of their worries. Please notify the Department of Employment via the Provincial Employment Offices available in every province. We will collect the number of workers wishing to return to work in Israel and continue working on this once the unrest in Israel has ended, including facilitating work in other countries such as South Korea. For those who want to work in Thailand, we also have job vacancies from all over the country to accommodate. In addition, if Thai workers returning from Israel and their family members want to practice their skills, you can contact the Skill Development Offices and Institutes located in all provinces across the country to receive additional career skills training support during the job transition to have a career, an income, and be able to continue supporting your families,” Mr. Phiphat said.
The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasatian, said that in terms of progress in helping with benefits from the fund to help job seekers working abroad, there are 819 workers currently applying for benefits from the fund to help job seekers working abroad, both at the central and regional levels. A total of 364 people have been paid 15,000 Baht each, totaling over 5,460,000 Baht. Thai workers returning from Israel can request to receive benefits from the fund to help job seekers working abroad at the Provincial Employment Office in their hometown. As initial support, everyone who is a member of the fund and still under protection will receive money in the case of having to return to Thailand due to war threats, amounting to 15,000 Baht per person. The Ministry of Labour will quickly take action to ensure that all Thai workers receive such benefits as soon as possible.
