          วันที่ 22 กรกฎาคม 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน นำทัพเยาวชนไทยร่วมพิธีเปิดการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 13 (WorldSkills ASEAN Singapore 2023) พร้อมด้วย นายชุตินทร คงศักดิ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ สิงคโปร์ นายสุรชัย ชัยตระกูลทอง ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงแรงงาน นายบุญชอบ สุทธมนัสวงษ์ ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน นางสาวบุปผา เรืองสุด อธิบดีกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน และคณะผู้บริหารกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมในพิธีเปิดการแข่งขัน ณ ห้องประชุม 1 (Hall 1) สิงคโปร์เอ็กซ์โป (Singapore Expo) สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์

          นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า วันนี้ได้นำทีมเยาวชนไทยทั้ง 24 คน พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงาน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ล่าม ผู้สังเกตการณ์ของประเทศไทย เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 13 (World Skills ASEAN Singapore 2023) ในปีนี้สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ ได้รับเกียรติเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการแข่งขันฯ โดยมีนางฮาลิมา ยาขอบ (Mdm Halimah Yacob) ประธานาธิบดีแห่งสาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ เป็นประธานในพิธี ภายในพิธีเปิดมีการแสดงสุดอลังการ และมี นายนิรวิทย์ นนทะศิริ ตัวแทน Expert สาขาการเขียนแบบวิศวกรรมเครื่องกลด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์ จากประเทศไทย ให้สัตย์ปฏิญาณในการแข่งขัน โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมแข่งขันจำนวน 180 คน ซึ่งเป็นตัวแทนจากประเทศสมาชิก 9 ใน 10 ประเทศ ประกอบด้วย สาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย สาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์ ประเทศมาเลเซีย สาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมา สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว สาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมเวียดนาม ประเทศบรูไน ประเทศไทย และสาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ และผู้แทนประเทศร่วมพิธีเปิดรวมแล้วกว่า 500 คน 

         นางสาวบุปผา เรืองสุด อธิบดีกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า เยาวชนไทยทั้ง 24 คน ได้เดินทางมาถึงสาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ตั้งแต่วันที่ 20 กรกฎาคม 2566 ที่ผ่านมา และได้รับการต้อนรับจากทางเจ้าภาพอย่างอบอุ่น โดยได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมสถานที่ที่ใช้ทำการแข่งขัน อาทิ ห้องแข่งขัน ห้องประชุม ห้องอาหาร เป็นต้น เพื่อสร้างความคุ้นเคยและเป็นข้อมูลก่อนการแข่งขัน ต่อจากนั้นได้เข้าทัศนศึกษา ณ โรงเรียนมัธยมไครสต์เชิร์ช (Christ Church Secondary School) เพื่อร่วมกิจกรรมแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมและประเพณีของแต่ละประเทศสมาชิก ซึ่งช่วยให้เยาวชนไทยได้ผ่อนคลายความกังวลในการแข่งขันด้วย

          “ทั้งนี้น้อง ๆ เยาวชนจะเริ่มแข่งขันในวันที่ 23–25 กรกฎาคม 2566 ซึ่งพรุ่งนี้จะเป็นการแข่งขันในวันแรก ขอให้น้อง ๆ เยาวชน พักผ่อนอย่างเต็มที่ เพื่อเตรียมพร้อมที่จะเข้าแข่งขันในวันรุ่งขึ้น โดยคณะผู้บริหารสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงาน จะเข้าร่วมสังเกตการณ์และให้กำลังใจตลอดการแข่งขันทั้ง 3 วัน” นางสาวบุปผา กล่าว

 
          On July 22, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, led the Thai youth team to attend the 13th WorldSkills ASEAN Singapore 2023 opening ceremony. The Thai Ambassador to Singapore, Mr. Chutintorn Kongsak, the Assistant to the Labour Minister, Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, the Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives joined the competition’s opening ceremony at Hall 1, Singapore Expo, Singapore.
 
          The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, said that today, he led all 24 young Thai participants, the Ministry of Labour’s executives, experts, interpreters, and observers from Thailand to join the 13th WorldSkills ASEAN Singapore 2023 opening ceremony. This year, Singapore hosted the competition. Mdm Halimah Yacob, President of Singapore, presided over the ceremony. During the opening ceremony, there was a spectacular show. Mr. Nirawit Nonthasiri, an expert representative in mechanical engineering drawings with computers from Thailand, pledged to swear in the competition. There were 180 participants in the competition, representing 9 of 10 member countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Brunei, Thailand, and Singapore. Over 500 country representatives attended the opening ceremony.
 
          The Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, added that all 24 Thai youths arrived in Singapore on July 20, 2023, and were warmly welcomed by the host. They visited the competition venue, such as the competition room, meeting room, and dining room, to familiarize themselves and get information before the competition. Subsequently, they attended a field trip to Christ Church Secondary School to participate in cultural exchange activities and traditions of each member country. This helped the Thai youths become more relaxed about the competition too. 
 
          “The youths will start competing on July 23 to 25, 2023. Tomorrow will be the first day of the competition. May the young competitors have a good rest to prepare for the competition the next day. The Ministry of Labour’s executives will observe and give encouragement throughout the 3-day competition,” said Ms. Bubpha.
